I have a few thoughts about some of the guys on this dumpster fire of a card: -Those special Brazilian vitamins will serve Petrino well if he survives Pedro's 4 minutes of gas. --Klein is tempting, yet it may take a lot to finish a guy whose family tree probably looks like an obelisk. -I'll bet the under on the odds that Perez both shows up to the scale and then makes weight. -Pickett must have photos of Shelby and/or White cavorting with either a herd of sheep or each other in order to stay on the roster. -Cousin Umar should get an immediate title fight if for no other reason that, unlike every other brave soul in the division except Sandhagen, the champ can't turn down a fight. -Watching Biggy Boy fight is about as exciting as listening to the sound of drying paint.

Appreciate the comment and your takes! Let me see what I think of them - I agree. The later it goes, the more it favors petrino - LOL that’s true but man AJ made Nguyen look like a killer and Klein is levels above. I think he can - I agree with the under - 13-10 record, he has to - umar is a killer. Hope he gets a shot soon - bigi boy tough to watch UNLESS he gets an early finish, but yes. Appreciate you tuning in! Enjoy this weekend!

Gordo, here is my take on the glorious exhibition of MMA matchmaking excellence which just took place at UFC Fight Night # Who Gives a Rat's Ass, shall we: In our first fight, the books inexplicably made Al-Selwady, a huge dog in his DWCS fight, a favorite vs. Loik. If you are laying juice on a guy who was a big dog in his last fight - ON THE CONTENDER SERIES - MMA betting should probably not be your career choice. Loik will probably be favored in his next fight, which, for me will be an auto fade. Next, we have Klein, a prohibitive favorite vs. a guy whose only compelling narrative revolves around the fact that his childhood would have been far better if he had been raised by a pack of wolves. Plus, the kid is tough. Aside from that, the outcome couldn't have been more predictable. In our next example of quality matchmaking, CLD beat the brakes off another Brazilian fraud who presented about as much talent and resistance as Frosty the Snowman hiking the Gobi Desert. What a nail biter that was. The next fight leaves us with two possibilities. Either the previously undefeated phenom Basharat is not so phenomenal, or 35 year old Zahabi has been the recipient of some powerful rejuvenation enemas. My guess would be the former. Basharat fights like a dog chasing a car. The pressure is fine, but what does he do when he gets there? An exception to the event's dogshittyness is the Sopaj/Oliveira fight. It was the tale of two fights and It was fun. It looked as though Sopaj came within a whisker of finishing Oliveira, but one costly grappling error had him snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Gotta give it to Oliveira - he is tough and tenacious. He also looked a weight class larger and considerably stronger. I look forward to seeing both of these guys in their next fight. Now back to our regularly scheduled meh. If you were holding an Anders ITD ticket, my first question would be: WHY? If anyone would have checked Jamie's shorts after the fight, they might have found some strong magnets affixed to his ass, making it impossible for him to resist backing into the cage. For his part, Eryk's performance was so extraordinary that DC was probably in the men's room when it came time for the post fight interview. Eryk's newly minted black belt was bleached after the fight. In our next fight, a match made in heaven, Matt Schnell made Erceg look like Roberto Duran. He is not. It is a good thing that the Apex is small, so it shouldn't have taken too long to find Matt's chin somewhere in the arena after the fight. Schnell has aged like fine mayonnaise. Umar won. The kid he fought is tough and has hands. Wow, what a shock! It seems clear that the entirety of Alex Perez' camp hinged upon takedown defense and weight cutting, probably in equal measure. It certainly was not about striking acumen or distance management. He showed more rust than an old Yugo. Some of his shots were evocative of Ray Charles swinging at a pinada. That said, it took a shit ton of audacity for Mokaev to act as though he had just earned himself a title shot. DUDE, YOU JUST BARELY BEAT A WASHED ALEX PEREZ. BFD! TYSON: "Look Vitor, I would like to retire without having my face rearranged, so let's make a deal. If you promise not to kill me in there, I promise to throw fewer strikes than I threw when bowling last week. For the record, I am not a good bowler. Are we good?" VITOR: "Bom." In our final fight of the day, Biggy Boy threw 2 million jabs at Gaziev's stationery head, which is the size of medicine ball. One or two might have missed. Gaziev will now go from being a main event next big thing in the HW division to fighting the Junior Tafas and Parker Porters of the world. Oh how the mighty fall.
