​@@cataniamommaitalia87 I have a hard time watching when this happens. It's really hard when there's plenty of food & the oldest chick wouldn't let the little one eat & he starved to death. I don't see anything funny when sibling rivalry happens. Ospreys are some of the meanest ones I have seen. I don't get why mom won't feed the younger ones especially when there's plenty of food. Survival of the fittest for raptors.

They spend all their energy pecking each other over and over again!! They look like freaking bobble heads! The smallest ones head just moves back & forth and gets a bite here & there when the other 2 are at it. But then it gets pecked in the head again. & it keeps going! 😂

April 8, 2022- April 25, 2022 This morning at 6:14 am the youngest took his final breath. During the last 4 days of his young 17 days life, he was starved. The starvation ended his life. Five days ago the mother was eating more than she was feeding. Four days ago the nest was only being served twice a day. However, the morning fish came but mom wasn't around to feed the hatchlings. So dad left with the fish. Dinner was their only meal that day and only the oldest ate. Three days ago two meals were served, the oldest one ate and the second one was able to get around the attacks to get some good bites. Two days ago three meals were served and the oldest and second to oldest both ate well. One day ago 4 meals were served and the two oldest ate very well and could barely move. Except they could move well enough to attack the youngest and keep him from eating. When they finally passed out, mom forced herself to give the youngest 6 or 7 remaining bites because she ate the rest, instead of attempting to keep her youngest from dying.

This nest has unfortunately turned to sadness. The youngest probably would've died today, except mom gave it a few life saving bites. Both the older hatchlings are attacking the youngest so severely that they literally throw it around the nest now. I predict the youngest will die from starvation in the next day or two. Meanwhile, I still believe the oldest two are females and they still fight like hell.

The older two have beat the youngest one into submission and has nearly starved it to death. Unfortunately, the youngest will probably die in the next day or two. This video is over a week old and the youngest one, now, is the size of the biggest ones in the video. The largest ones now are 3x the size they were here
