that was beautiful man, I was like "lol, wut" when you timed out Rainbow UFOs. The last card in the "Extra Time Out Phase" definitely reminds me of Peerless Wind God.

Koishi is easily the hardest to pacifist (long timers, no extra lives), and I haven't even tried yet (I still have yet to 1CC SA Hard! I need more Touhou time!) So, uh, maybe. If this run shows anything it's that I CAN pull of perfect pacifist runs, which I would need for Koishi, but it would still be no small task.

I'll probably give them a shot sometime in the future then, when I have more free time and run out of runs I want to do. I can't imagine actually pulling a pacifist Koishi off though, that would be insanity.

I was messing around with that comment. It's still great. Helped me quite a bit with figuring her out so I could win. Though I still had a lot of trouble with some cards.

Those rain attacks are really easy for me to parse mentally, even if their dodging is fast. Generally I kick ass at random patterns but die horribly to lasers and intertwined patterns. (and intertwined lasers? Don't get me started!) I swear, the more complex the pattern, the better I can read it. It's always confused me.

Well, I've only gotten to the survival card ten times, and six of those were back when the game first came out and my strategy was to not even try to figure it out and simply bombspam.... So basically, it only took four reads plus some prior knowledge to capture, which compared to previous survivals is insane. I've actually only ever gotten to the rainbow UFOs 16 times, 9 pacifist, and I've never captured it... No idea where the hell that timeout came from, looking at the failure rate on it.

my family just cant understand the achievement that you get when you do this sort of runs..... even 1cc'ing normal is an achievement enough.. Good job, sadistic penguin!!!

Would also like to see pacifist Suwako from you. The one on KZbin aggressively bombed her out of some nonspells. Another reason is due to how many times I got walled or clipped in my attempts and to see you deal with that. Suwako took me more attempts than Flandre, Ran, Yukari, or Mokou. I don't have Koishi's stage unlocked, but the SA life system would definitely make a pacifist of her interesting.

Actually there might be one extra life, but it only would do you any good for Subterranean Rose. 3 Sanae cards and Koishi's 2 survival cards. Of course, that's assuming both survival cards give you a life piece.

Lol, except for phantasm and possibly Flandre that's impossible, and even then you get screwed on lives.

It's kind of hard to compare since I'm so much better now than I was back when I first played those old extra bosses... So this is rough. I think Nue is comparable to Flandre that she requires a bit less memorization but a bit more twitch reflexes, so your mileage may vary. Overall, she's easier than Flandre and harder than Mokou in my book, putting her in low-mid difficulty.

No vert is generally impossible, generally where it's doable is the exception, not the rule. I might try phantasm someday, I just didn't want it to be my first no-vert because people would think I was ripping off GIL. Mokou appears to be impossible, though =(

Dang. And you still say you're not a super player? Lol. Wow. Rainbow UFO Invasion of BS was beautifully timed out. The timeout phase also seems extremely nasty. That'll probably be a new challenge, timing it out without dieing/bombing.

I tried it once. I failed badly at Ran losing to one of her nonspells with Sakuya's 4 bombs per life.

I admit this run was a bit crazy =P As for the final spell timeouts... The only one I really want to try is BoLaD but it takes too long to get up to it.

Ehhhhh.... Koishi is hell due to the life system, and Suwako.... I never really liked for some reason =/ Doubtful. My first priority will probably be a UFO 1CC.

How in the heck did you no bomb no death Rainbow UFO Invasion Of BS Ragequit? o_o The first half of her survival is the make-or-break part for me atm. The second half I managed to clear no-bomb no-death but the first half took pretty much everything I had left. Grudge Bow timeout is... well you deserve the clear just for attempting it. o_o crikey.
