😂 Colonel Chipman’s proposal was shot down quickly, although Colonel Foster tried to back me up on it. Colonel Lake simply glowered at us both, so she was no help, alas.

I was a kid in the early 1970s, and I remember I had a shirt with this kind of, I think we called them "neru collars" or something like that?

Straker wears a cream coloured suit in at least one episode that gives off a lot of Christmas vibes for me. Another costume from the show that gets handed down from actress to actress is the dark red leather mini dress. And then there is a pink coloured velvet dress that also appears in Doppelganger.

Oh don’t worry we will be covering the infamous red dress soon!

If "Tiny Tim" can only survive by brainwashing Ed into slacking off enough so that "Tiny Tim" can steal himself a sound leg and clean lungs from unwilling donors, then "bah humbug" seems an entirely appropriate response. Sylvia Anderson's costuming is a real highlight of the show, and as in other aspects one could draw positive comparisons with Star Trek TOS: some similar principles, but more egalitarian, less male-gazey (tight-fitting uniforms, true, but no miniskirts, no visible lingerie up to the eyeballs, and not radically different options for the men... though male Moonbase commanders should damn well wear that purple wig in solidarity), and more businesslike and authoritatively elegant options for women.

They equal opportunity make the entire cast elegant and or sexy as the occasion demands on UFO!
