The music when the ship emerges and sweeps away everything is amazing. It’s classic John Williams.

Admittedly William's soundtrack for the movie is not as good as the other films, but this is a very good track that conveys the sense of wonder like he did in Close Encounters. I also really like that noise at 1:35, sounds just like a 50's sci fi movie.

Well, roughly 6,500 languages are spoken in the world today. Each and every one of them make the world a diverse and beautiful place. Sadly, some of these languages are less widely spoken than others. Take Busuu, for example - we're named after a language spoken by only eight people

I never understood why people had no problem with divine intervention, black magic/voodoo, and immortality all happening and existing in these films, but ALIENS is where people drew the line?! This scene was incredible! The John Williams score slowly rising as the UFO ascends and launches into space was such a good moment.

It’s because the Ark, Shankara stones and the cult, and Holy Grail were all tied to some religion that people could relate it to, but the aliens (inter dimensional beings) were just out of the blue with no explanation of their background
@lornithogeek7049
@lornithogeek7049 Жыл бұрын
@@fazesundew27 There is clearly an explanation around the fact that the interdimensional beings landed in the ugah to teach them agriculture and mechanics, during the landing of the conquistador Francisco de Orleana to steal the skull from Akator and since then the ugah and the skull await the return. yes it's based on new age belief and ancient astronaut theory.... But it's appropriate in Indiana jones delirium pulp and it's even much more developed than the shankara stone which doesn't have no mythological basis.

It's a straight up racist belief from a new age hoax. This entire movie shits all over the Incan civilization perpetuating that they couldn't even come up with agriculture, and that their entire accomplishments and culture where "Aliens." The Crystal Skulls where literally a scam made to sell new age books. At least in Temple of doom, the idea was original.

No one is saying that the aliens aren’t “real”, that’s a common misunderstanding. The general feeling is that aliens don’t “fit” given the lore established in the previous films, which had a religious/supernatural element. It would be like watching Lord of the Rings, and having the Millennium Falcon land at Rivendell. The Falcon would be no less realistic than anything that happens in the Tolkien universe, but it would be a mismatch to have something that technological turn up in a franchise based around magic (and yes, I always felt Temple of Doom was out of place as it didn’t have a Judeo-Christian relic).
@anaihilator
@anaihilator 3 жыл бұрын
@@jasonorriss what you really mean is the previous films , outside of Doom, had a western centric judeo Christian lore associated with it The reason Doom is tolerated even while examining so called Indian cult mysteries is because of the white savior undertones of Indy saving and freeing the children and returning the stone back to the village The problem people have with KotKS without realizing it is the fact that there was no western centric lore to the paranormal/spiritual events Indy investigated in this film. Now, it was spiritual and paranormal to the ancient Mayans who encountered the interdimensional beings and erected temples to them , but the average person of the west could give 2 craps about Maya heritage or culture aside from the calendar 8 years ago That's why to these people , Skulls didnt feel "authentic" It's not that Skulls didnt have a spiritual or religious element , it just didnt have a western judeo Christian one

@@anaihilatordont know about using race/culture as an argument for why these movies suck. But as a southeast asian, I'd put Temple of Doom as #1 and Crystal Skull as #2. Worse Indiana movie would be the Sean Connery one because of being too focused on the European theatre of WW2. The only western WW2 movie that I and my relatives were able to relate to was Saving Private Ryan, best war movie made IMO.

I’m having conflicting emotions here whether or not this is spectacular or stupid, let me explain: John Williams music here is stellar, and just puts me at awe, Plus the scenery is amazing. But I’m just sorry but seeing Indiana Jones himself watching a freaking UFO flying away feel really wrong in my opinion, it’s like putting a him right next to a dinosaur, it doesn’t work with me. A pretty great aspect from the original trilogy is that the items Indiana is confiscating all have ties to gods and biblical stories, in real life those stories are debated whether or not if they are true. But at least make this scene in particular look more unique like partial cover the whole take off scene while they are escaping the temple, and when they arrive to the surface, the ufo will already be already taken or how about completely obscure the ufo by with the ship emitting a bright light to finally end the scene with the debris crashing to the ground and becoming a lake. Don’t get me wrong, this movie and it’s a association with finding aliens is strangely unique, like it takes in the 1950s where that was all the craze especially in fictional horror.

What did the alien show her? That we are living in a simulation? That were actually in a patri dish? Or are that we were made by other aliens? Does anyone know? And why were they many beings (crystals) and not 1 being when they landed? 🤔
