Phil Mogg : one of the greatest hard rock voices ever. UFO was/is so sadly underrated. The entire band; not just PM and MS. All phenoms. Saw the April ‘82. Good lord!!!!! They could play. Lights Out is legendary status.

British band, German guitar player --- Michael Schanker, only 17 when he joined the band; has a devoted following to this day and plays as well as ever and still on his game at about 60 years of age. Followed their own path; became a band that other musicians admired but had only moderate commercial success. Kept going for many years with a varied line up. Phil Mogg is the singer and main songwriter.

Tip for future UFO songs, if the song is on the live album "Strangers In The Night" go with the live version every time. That live album is ranked by rock fans as one of the greatest ever. The ending of "Love To Love" is better on the live album, longer and better solo

The live album “Strangers in the night” as an earlier poster said. You will love it! Phil Mogg - vocals Michael Schenker - lead guitar. (Replaced by Paul “Tonka” Chapman during the 1978 tour) Paul Raymond - rhythm guitar, keyboards , Backing Vocals Pete Way - bass Andy Parker - drums , Backing Vocals A very temperamental bunch of band members there!

They are a very underrated band and a lot of people have never heard of them. I saw them with Judas Priest in 1979. 'Cherry' is one of my favorite songs by them. Some other good choices IMO are 'Only You Can Rock Me' and 'Born to Lose'. BTW I love your Yes reactions, it's nice to see you back.

Phil Mogg is the vocalist, Michael Schenker on lead guitar, Pete Way on bass. They were very influential in the UK (Iron Maiden were big fans). Similar level of popularity as Rainbow & Thin Lizzy at that time. Great band. Check out “Born to Lose”, “Shoot, Shoot”, “Doctor, Doctor”, “I’m a Loser”, “Lights Out”...

Man that had to be one of the most epic heart-wrenching reactions to any song by any KZbin reactor I've seen. And you knocked it out of the park my man! As I'm probably only going to repeat what many have already said, but here it is/they are anyway, a few points I want to make; 1) Do yourself a favor and listen to their "Strangers in the Night" album, considered one of the best live and most important albums to ever be released. 2) All though the whole record, every song is great, as flawless an album you could get, especially considering it's "live". But the "keystone"song off of "Strangers in the Night" is their song "Rockbottom", it will definitely grab you and send you on a ride, and blow your mind while it's at it, I could damn near guarantee it. Listen and let me know, or do us all a favor and do a reaction video to that song off the live "Strangers in the Night" album. We'll all, wthout a doubt, enjoy your reaction. 3) UFO, probably the, if not, the most underrated rock/hard rock (metal) band in the history of the world, of course, IMO, but I'm sure many Will attest to. If anything do yourself a favor, you'll not regret it. By the way, you've become my favorite reactor, since seeing some of your reaction videos, hope you have more on the way. I'm surprised you don't have a few hundred subscribers, but keep at it and I'm sure they'll come. Peace....

The reason Rock music of today pales in comparison , is because Rock bands from the mid 70's to the late 1980's would play great written ballads to full throttle Hard Rock / Metal. Songwriting, musicianship and the live show was King !!!! Bands like the Foo Fighters and other like them are a mockery of what Rock is all about ....this song is a Classic. This was from a time when the guitar was a serious instrument ....unlike today, the guitar had been reduced to a prop to make you look cool on the stage !!!!🤘

Have no idea why this song isn't a huge staple of classic rock. F****** blew me away when I first heard it too a couple years ago. And, I am an old enough dude, at the time I only knew these guys as the guitarist here and with the Scorpions are brothers. Anyway - isn't life a beauty - treasures like this show up here and there :)

Dude, welcome to the most slept on band and guitarist in rock and roll history. Michael is the guitar player and he is a pure genius on that flying V tucked between his legs. Please trust me when I say anything off the greatest live album of all time. Strangers In The Night. THEY INFLUENCED ALL OF THE GREATS! Should have been way bigger than they were. I've seen Michael 2 times in the past 3 years and he is 64 years old now and still sounds just as great!

The list goes on. Which is why I have always wondered how more people don't know him in mainstream music. I have loved this man since 1984! UFO was a great band. They started in '68 but got quite popular in '73 when they recruited a 16 year old talented guitarist named Michael Schenker (younger brother of Rudolph Schenker of the Scorpions). Lights Out album (1977) is a great album - one of my favorites from them. "Love to Love" just happens to be one of my favorite songs but the rest of the album is well worth listening to - highly recommended.

They started out a little proggish/space rock but then went into more hard rock but with some great mid tempo and ballads. They've been around since the early 70's and just recently finished (or in the process of completing) their farewell tour. A very underappreciated band with great, great albums, especially in the 70's. I saw them live in the late 70's and were terrific live. As mentioned the Strangers in the Night live album is great and just about anything off of that albums is worth a reaction. BTW, Phil Mogg is the singer and I am not aware of him being with anyone except UFO and UFO off shoot projects.

UFO was a great band that got missed due to unfortunate timing. Their best period was 1977-1979, when everything in America was Disco and everything in England was Punk. Where would UFO fit in with either The Sex Pistols or KC & the Sunshine Band? Nowhere, so they never got any airplay. By the time Hair Metal rose in the 80's they'd already lost Michael Schenker on guitar, and they never got the magic back.

They are British band that never really hit it big in the United States. Their guitar player is actually German he will started off by filling in for their original guitarist who couldn’t make it to one of their concerts because he forgot his passport. It was a happy mistake because Michael Shanker fit that band like hand in glove. They have so many phenomenal songs and I will never understand why they never got that big over here.
