I have never heard Jiddu saying there is no self, no mind, no choice, no cause and effect. I also have never heard him say the root of evil is love itself. So, no, they are totally different. One was feeding people with concepts, the other was taking them away. One channeled dualistic words, the other not. You make out who's who :)

excellent. perhaps because I am closer to him than most people at my age, 50 now, and because of my age and experience...but, aside from the praise, he's the real deal, you can tell from his beginning. it is clear and powerful that the people who are skeptical are frustrated in trying to live forever and more well then they may be able. he really hits on the central point with confidence and persistence. very uplifting video, and I've never heard of him before this. thank you tones for this

Once I met UG and asked about JKrishnamurti. his reply was: " I come from an illustrious family, my grandfather was a rich landlord he gave money to Theosophical Society, Annie Besant used to visit our house, who is J.Krishnamurti, he father was a mere clerk , a lowly cog in the village" This told me a lot about UG's state of mind, his spiritual experiences and his intelligence.

Thank you for posting UG's videos. To others who ask what his point was, I offer my impression that he viewed "philosophical questions" and "soul searching" as activities of our physical, mechanical bodies, and that to ask these unanswerable questions is not in keeping with physical function, having no purpose. Also that when we see things, we unwittingly refer to our memories, and do not perceive directly. I have been around the Indians' works since boyhood, and I suggest listening to UG.

I believe you, I had those toughts after I heard his words for the first time a couple of years ago and I'm still recovering, it's crazy! I'm sorry for your friend, this searching for answers can go horrible wrong and make people become really sick. We should all just be grateful and LIVE our lifes, engage in something... It's that simple.

Most people are confused by his teaching there is no teaching you are it don't ask questions stop looking for enlightenment stop the search stop creating a prison for yourself by questioning be simple everything will come to you is the message and he is telling the truth stop questioning just stop the quest to know has to end first the big bang will take its place on its own in you.

UG Krishnamurti is right nothing can be done for you when you spend your time being a seeker. When you understand your reality the rest is just a function of the 5 senses which is part of the biological organism . Stop and pay attention from the point of silence and you will know the SELF. When you know the SELF there is no need for questions. Namaste

I did a detox last year but relapsed. I did stop smoking though. What can I say? I'm addicted. Change is under way but it will take time, the irony of that is not lost on me. I'm a dreamer, I live inside my head. No answers are available to me. Either way, I'm happy which may be part of the problem. I know words but I am not wordy. I am an animated character. Words can't convey emotion and can be easily misinterpreted.Its complicated and there's too many I's in this bit.

The problem seems to be that nobody listens to UG. If they listened, they would not need to come back. Those people looking for the meaning of life are wasting their time. There is no intrinsic meaning to life. It is up to the individual to give his or her life meaning. That's it. There is no more to say.
@taildragger53
@taildragger53 9 жыл бұрын
Maybe you have no more to say but you can't speak for all humanity unless your ego is the same size as this mans--and you have to have a mighty high opinion of yourself to claim that YOUR words, and no one elses, are final! Narcissism is behind this viewpoint of yours and UG. If there is no meaning to life then WHY bother with it? Why do YOU bother living? Why don't we all just kill ourselves since it's a worthless journey with NO redeeming factors. Why eat, why dress, why raise a family, why act nice to others, why show love, why go on holiday to view pleasant sunsets and warm weather if you derive no beauty form this? Maybe YOU don't have the capacity to show emotion and therefore see all life as meaningless doesn't mean everyone else should. And for those who are thinking like this...they should be checked for very low levels of brain chemicals like Dopamine, Serotonin. etc. Basically they are very ill and not to be perceived as "'gurus''. Most famous writers who perceived life like this were manic depressive, self destructive..they weren't normal. What is normal? Normal is having the capacity to see beauty in life and show love.

It's humanity's ego that is large, not UG's or mine. Only those with large egos can believe that they are important enough for their lives have an intrinsic meaning. The only meaning to life is that which you give it. There is none other. To most people, this is too much of a responsibility.taildragger53

We are all in both sides of the brain always. Hemispheric dominance is greatly overplayed in popular media. This causes a great deal of misunderstanding among those who rely on these media for their information of brain anatomy and function. The mapping that shows the "popular" right/left brain differences is found typically in right-handed males, but even then, each hemisphere is reliant on the other at all times to function without lateral neglect or other cognitive impairments.

There is no way you can overcome selfishness and greed. The moment you say you are different from the rest of mankind you have exalted yourself and put yourself on a pedestal. That's called contradiction and bullshit. UG is a greedy, frustrated, jealous man. A natural man.

U.G. is pointing all the time, but they're missing the cues!. The guy in the brown cardigan, is particularly upset and frustrated at U.G.'s suggestion of a nice walk, being more significant than sitting and wanting answers... U.G could have easily said to such ardent seekers- notice, open, allow, relax in silence and I'd imagine so many would have awakened...

I never met U. G. I have read all his books and watched many of his videos. I like a lot of the things he said. But I think the most important thing he said (and he said this over, and over, and over) is, "I can't help you." It's true. U. G. cannot help us. You can enjoy his antics, you can enjoy his philosophy (and yes, he DOES have a philosophy, contrary to his assertions), but in the end he really cannot help you. So, enjoy. As for me, as of this moment I'm done with U. G.

It is idiotic ! He was a sick man..he showed all the symptoms of serious mental issues. Did he look like a happy person to you? BE honest? Would you be happy if you were him? Look at his last video on his deathbed. Does he leave this life in a peaceful frame of mind? He is STILL arguing and talking about "'shit & fucking"'whilst taking his final breath. He's shouting at the top of his voice as a bitter and angry person so enraged about this world. He was closer in mind to punk rocker GG Allin than a "'sage"' or "'guru"".

Why are you looking for stillness if you have realized that nothing is permanent? No state is permanent, no experience is permanent, no phenomena in consciousness is permanent(including stillness), i would even question consciousness itself, if it is permanent. What are you left with is you yourself. You cannot be experienced, you cannot be known, you can only be apprehended or intuited if i can even call it that way...

Switzerland? like funding hordes of touts and urchins to create chaos on the terminal floor, while the largest coach-line offers order and certainty with it's tranquil private waiting areas? 2000 years and still waiting? At least they serve tidbits and drinks at the lounge right? Gratis or billed later? Especially if passengers start having 2nd thoughts about how late the ride is and begin looking elsewhere? The bus running late may not necessarily be the fault of the company, but creating chaos to increase ticket sales or retain customers IS!

I am not seeing why you should be concerned about what has happened to this person or to that person. The essence is: what is your experience? What can you tell from inside-out instead of out-inside ? Start looking inside. What is apparently looking outside, must learn to look inside, for perceiver cannot be found in the perceived. That's for sure. And then.. what is inside and what is outside? Find out. Some people think that thoughts, feelings, emotions are inside... but are they really?
