Ugadi, heralding the new year 'Sri Krodi Naama Samvatsaram', was celebrated with deep reverence and joy at Sri Sathya Sai Vaatsalyam. The festivities featured a series of new launches, uplifting speeches, a certificate ceremony, and soulful musical offerings, filling the day with spiritual fervour and inspiration.
The morning commenced with sister Srividhya addressing all present on the eternal message of Ugadi as shared by Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, which set a spiritual tone for the festivities. This was followed by the much-anticipated inauguration of the Sri Sathya Sai Vaatsalyam Bus, a new transportation service that will enhance the organisation's service activities.
The event also marked the launch of the Sri Sathya Sai Prema Dayini video, which showcased the success of the school breakfast program over the past six months. Sister Kalpana Heblekar, an alumna of the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, then delivered an insightful speech on the transformative power of selfless service.
The morning continued with the launch of the new website for the Sri Sathya Sai Premaarpitham Foundation, providing a digital platform to highlight the organisation's ongoing service initiatives.
The evening programme commenced with a speech by sister Sathvika Krishnan on ‘True Education is Living with God’. Following this, the Nritya Madhuryam, the Bharatanatyam class for rural children, celebrated the completion of its 'Milestone 1' examination for the Uyyamballi batch of students with a certificate and report card ceremony. This event acknowledged the students' six months of dedicated training in the art of Bharatanatyam. Sister Sourabha Bhat, a teacher at the Nritya Madhuryam initiative, expressed her joy and praised the students' progress, inspiring them to continue their devotion to the artform. The evening concluded with a soul-stirring musical offering by the 'Geetha Sudha' ensemble, filling the air with melodies of devotion that touched the hearts of all present.
Ugadi festivities ended with Mangala Aarti for Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba and the partaking of Maha Prasadam, leaving everyone with a sense of profound gratitude and divine bliss.
