This is looking like an easy match-up for Pacquaio. Ugas's boxing style is to stay on the centerline and walk forward which is perfect for Pacquaio's approach. He also has a disadvantage in speed, pulls back in a straight line from punches (not a good idea facing Pac-Man's left straight), and very badly telegraphs his punches with wide winging shots. Of course, he does have a chance of pulling an upset on fight night but I'm not sure it's a likely outcome.

Nothing easy about Ugas. An excellent technician. Boxer/puncher. On any given night the Cuban is capable of beating any welterweight in the world. He was mentioned as an opponent for Crawford. Bud wisely looked the other way. And besides, you talk about Pacquiao as if it's still 2009. Pacquiao is 42 and has been inactive for 2 years. If you think that it's still vintage Pacquiao, then you're in for a huge surprise come Aug. 21. Ugas is the smart bettors choice.

He has a tendency to stand in front of his opponent and do nothing AT ALL. Even a 42 year old Pacman will throw his trademark combinations at those moments. I'm sure they've(Freddy and pac) seen it too on tape. Plus he throws looping punches and telegraphs his punches.pacman is faster and Will time him constantly. The chance of him knocking pac out is close to 0. Tbh he's pretty average. He's not a great technical fighter at all. He doesn't even know how to throw proper punches. He's lacking in the basics. If pac is at least 60% of what he was against Thurman, he wins.

My only complaint about Ugas is that sometimes he's content to land single shots when the opening for combinations is there. It may have cost him on the scorecards against Porter. If he stays reasonably busy, he'll do a number on Pacquiao by the middle rounds. Old fighters run out of gas quickly. They can't fight hard for 12, 3 minute rounds. Once Pacquiao slows down, Ugas takes over.

I agree on everything except this lie that errol went life and death with shawn. Errol fought him in his own game and outlanded shawn 8 out of 12 rounds plus the knock down. I watched the fight multiple times. Shawn tried to limit errol's jab with movement. Errol is still cutting the ring and is beginning to land double jab past shawn's guard and 1-1-2(with the 2 to the body). Shawn would then try mug errol on the inside. Errol would later adjust to rolling, blocking and parying his punches. Lennox noted this. Shawn would try bull rushing and throw combos. Some landed, but he was getting countered. Clinch. Rinse and repeat. Aside from fighting and beating shawn in his own game, errol admitted his coming from a fat camp.

So to have fox want to sign another contract with them they are purposefully delaying their two biggest money fights (canelo/plant and pacquiao/spence) so they(fox) will resign with PBC. This is why they were trying to get Canelo to sign a mini contract for two fights with them and when canelo said, “heeeellllllll nooooo!” That’s when plants team decided that canelo was being absurd with his demands and canceled the fight. 🤷🏿 what a coincidence that now pac is willing to fight Spence after the PBC/fox contract is over and canelos team is currently revisiting the plant fight as well. 🤔
