Sir, Karnataka Government in its recent Gazette notification (dated 10/07/2020) has issued new guidelines for recruitment of Assistant Professors in Govt First Grade Colleges. It has made it compulsory to study the Master Degree subject as one of the optional subjects at under graduation level, in addition to UGC requirements of M.A. (55%) + NET / SLET. Please we should write a petition to MHRD and UGC to remove this extra constitutional rule that prevents the entry of the most talented students from entering the domain of higher education teaching field.
