According to the UGC Regulation 2018 on Plagiarism, common knowledge of coincidental terms up to **14** consecutive words shall be excluded while checking similarity for detection of plagiarism. 3 approaches of R. ethics 1. Self - apne purane work se copy paste 5. Paraphrasing - copied data ko apne words me likhna 6. Mosaic - copied data ke beech beech me apne words dalna 7.Accidental - bhul se / ya apne bholepan se 8. Inaccurate - authorship n acknowledgement me adla badli karna Levels level 0 - upto 10% → no penalty --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- level 1 - 10 - 40% - Th+dess. → 6 month me resubmission - Acd. / Pub → Publish hi nahi hoga --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- level 2 - 40 - 60% - Th+dess. → 1yr tak no resumbition - Acd. / Pub → candidate - 1 yr no publish → supervisor - 2 yr ban (ban= no supervision+1 yr increment cancel) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- level 3 - 60% < - Th+dess. → programme / phd cancel - Acd. / Pub → candidate - 2 yr ban → supervisor - 3 yr ban
