Yeah. I had a friend who took the exam as well. She didn't qualify for any category. After she came to know that I've qualified for PhD she said: "it's nothing, you've failed the exam as well, can't do anything with it." I said: "at least I don't have 'not qualified' written on my scorecard."

First of all there is no compulsion to consider phd only qualification on all univerisities of india.. Reservation is playing mazor role here in this regard. Because some of the caste claims different category in state and centre. Some caste claims obc in centre and same castes claims sc/st in state.. On that basis cut off and competition may vary in both national and state level...i.e. There are major competitors from Up and bihar as these states dont have SLET exams and SLET exams are going to worthless..As u can see, those who are qualified even in NET and PhD only, most of them are from northern state unlike south states. So thats why it is feasible to withdraw category 3 phd only criteria and bring back the system which was earlier maintained.

Good Afternoon Sir, though I'm not your student, still I followed some of your videos regarding Paper II English, and through self study,I qualified NET and Phd, on one hand I'm so glad and on the other I empathize with those who couldn't qualify this time. I can feel their pain and efforts as they too have some dreams and aspirations. By mere .02 or .033 percentile, some of the aspirants haven't cleared. I didn't understand the logic applied by NTA in the so called normalisation process. First they published our Marked answer key, aspirants just came to know their strength and weakness, after few days they published the final answer keys. Still the aspirants had some hope, but then comes the turning point when in the published score card, the scores doesn't match with what we have calculated. There is a huge in discrepancy on the side of NTA. Above all, with the introduction of the third category, the cut offs have gone so high, that everything seems a nightmare. For me, this was my third attempt, and this time I proved my mettle, came off with flying colours. I just request you Sir to please do take some initiative on behalf of the aspirants so that NTA has to rethink about the third category. Thank you so much Sir 🙏.
