Have been in goats farming for more than 10yrs now with More than 200 goats but I totally out of experienced disagree with u on local goats coming on heat after 2yrs, i started with Local goats but now am improving by buying/bringing pure bucks, local goats take btn 5 to 8 months to come on heat also when given similar cares/attentions given to hybrid goats,( treatment, proper feeding, vaccine, salt block lick, spraying, deworming etc), hybrid breed goats preferably better than local goats b'se they grow faster and bigger but goats farming is profitable, u can start with what u can afford then u keep on improving.

I was shocked too when I heard that! The difference is basically the size and weight these other breeds gain within same period raised.

The information about the local breed is not accurate. If well manage the local breed can profitable as well.
