I have watched more positive reviews than negative on this product and I am happy to pass by this video to hear another great, detailed, well explained review.I know someone who creates awesome digital artwork using this same model.Thank you for taking the time to give your opinions as to why others have problems.I was debating between this monitor, and a couple others ( Huion, Parblo, XP-Pen) and I honestly made up my mind already to purchase this model.I currently use a Wacom Intuos Pro Small without a monitor and it still serves me great.Just thought it was time to upgrade to a monitor that was in my budget.UGEE it is ;) !!!

6 months ago I bought the Ugee 2150, after much research. I thought I would search again to see what people are saying about this product, and I came across your review, and I TOTALLY agree with you! Your review was spot on. I could have gotten a much higher priced drawing monitor, but so far, aside from the bottom of the monitor getting a bit warm over time, this product does exactly what it is intended to do. Although I didn't get the exact package you did, (i.e. no extra pen, and no glove) The price I paid was well worth it! 1/3 less than the Wacom comparison. Welcome to the digital word! And thanks for a very honest review of a great product!

Daedricbob what OS are you using with you ugee 2150?
@Daedricbob8 жыл бұрын
Brie Brie I use Windows 10 bud. I installed the driver disc, then downloaded the latest driver from the UGEE site and installed over the top. Works great for me. The only thing I'd like that isn't currently working is that multi-monitor setups with DIFFERENT screen resolutions aren't supported properly, the pen usually doesn't behave if I have my 4k monitor on. As long as all screens currently switched on are 1080 it's all good though. 👍

Hi, I have a question. Then I try to use the tablet in photoshop I have to press quite hard to get my brush to work. On the other hand then using Corel painter, it works just fine, light strokes leave marks like it supposes too. So my question how does it work for you? And do you know is where any sensitivity setting inside photoshop what might have an effect on my issue?

Check your brush presets in photoshop, opacity, flow and pressure settings. If you have a bootleg copy of PS like I had pen pressure may not work because of that.

Just like any monitor you have to calibrate it. There is not a monitor on the market that doesn't need to be calibrated. Colors are only as accurate as your calibration. The Ugee is no different, it has sharp vibrant colors once it's properly calibrated.

Hey I'm leaning toward buying one of these. Was initially looking at the surface pro 4, but have heard many complaints about a pen jitter when you draw slowly. Say you are drawing a straight line very slowly, does it have a jitter? Or will the line be as straight as drawing on paper? That was the deal breaker for the surface pro 4, so i really need to know this. thanks.
@UnmaskArt8 жыл бұрын
I've had no issues at all with jitter, getting nice smooth lines is extremely important to my kind of work so if there was even a hint of an issue I'd hate this monitor. But there are no problems at all with it.

Can I ask if there's line jitter in Photoshop? Because I know that Huion has that problem on Windows and I'm trying to decide between this tablet and the gt-220. Thanks
@UnmaskArt7 жыл бұрын
yes, there is line jitter, but it's a brush setting not a tablet issue. programs like manga studio is better for drawing imo than photoshop for this reason. But the line quality in photoshop is very clean with a steady hand.
@citrusoda7 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I have another question. When you calibrated the Ugee, it calibrated w/o problems right? I ended up getting Huion and the problem I ran into was if I get the color temperature matched, I can't get the white level to reach 120. It can only reach 115 (the brightness and contrast is already set to 100 so I can't go any higher). I was wondering if Ugee had any issues with this? Thanks. (To clarify, I print my art so I need it to be accurate)
@UnmaskArt7 жыл бұрын
I didn't have to make such major changes to my Ugee settings. I think the most important thing to check first before cranking up your contrast to the maximum is adjusting you gamma level. I only had to make subtle changes to my screen settings.

@UnmaskArt7 жыл бұрын
There are two calibration methods. You can calibrator your output via your mac's system preferences and then the onboard calibration built into the Ugee. Calibrating is not easy todo unfortunately. Here is a general strategy. 1. put all settings on both systems to 50% on everything so it's neutral. 2. find calibration image online. 3. calibrate your computer output first. 4.fine tune calibration with onboard setting with ugee.

I've never used Sketchbook. It's not a tablet it's just a monitor, essentially the pen works as a touch screen that is pressure sensitive. So any program you put on your computer it will work with. No programs are installed on the monitor itself.

Check your preferences, but you shouldn't be plugging and unplugging the tablet when your computer is on.

This is an exact copy of the XP PEN 22HD, I'd be careful with those cheaper tablets, I spent 480 pounds on one and got to use it properly once in the month I had it. The technicians couldn't even help me. Be careful! I sent it back and went for a Cintiq 13HD

Does the screen get warm?
@UnmaskArt7 жыл бұрын
No, the screen does not get warm.
@dr.sheldonleecooper39507 жыл бұрын
Because i have one, and my Ugee monitor gets a little warm down the bottom. So yours does not get warm at all?
@UnmaskArt7 жыл бұрын
No, I've used it for 6 straight hours before and never noticed it get warm. By warm I mean like a source of heat, any light/monitor produces some form of heat but it remained consistent with what you should expect from a tv or monitor. Nothing that made it uncomfortable to use.

I kind of want to know if it's common that it gets a little warm down by the cables. because if it's not comon i will have to send it back that is. thank you.

nice review but I would suggest investing in a microphone you sound very muffled.
@UnmaskArt8 жыл бұрын
Thanks, but it's not the mic, it's the room i record in. My building is 100% cement and the echo is ridiculous.
@jrotcdchs8 жыл бұрын
oh dude that suck but i think a usb mic and solicall pro would do amazing you should check them out but thank you for the review was looking for a drawing table.

Q: the pen doesn't work at an angle A: most probably it refers to ability to detect tilt, and yes, the only pens out there that have tilt function would be the one with wacom technology (like wacom pro pen and samsung galaxy pen) and apple pencil Q: there are gap between pen and glass A: yes, there are, this is called parallax and can be quite a big deal for some people (and can makes you tired faster)... and you will notice it more when you have big screen and/or low resolution. But recent models (of high end brands) already eliminated this parallax. They call it zero parallax although it's more like very minimum parallax (almost zero)... iPad Pro, Wacom Mobile Studio Pro, and Wacom Cintiq Pro; all have zero parallax. And obviously, they are expensive AF.
