Not drafting Zach Edey, and instead drafting dillingham (to trade) was a huge L

Tagging this for a cold take when we either A) draft a good player in a contending time when we need good cheap players MUCH more than right now or B) when we use that pick to acquire a valuable proven player that fits a role when we have MUCH more info about roles needing to be filled when we're contending

@Head_log_8311 Facts is that deciding the decision is a "L" right now before we even know what that pick is used for.....is a dumb short sighted overreaction. That's the Fact. Might it turn out in hindsight come time for us to compete that we don't trade the pick for a much better player or draft a better fit for our team in a more important time to have rookie scale cheap contracts when we have a super max Wemby on the books? Maybe. But not anywhere close to decided today.

You're going around in circles, as if it were a question of the moment. Sure, the Spurs are better this year than last, but in reality there's only one guy at the top, playing for three or four areas at once: rebounding, defense, passing, offense. Everyone knows it, management, players, fans. Other good teams have at least two or three very high-level guys, in these different areas, who can score at least 25 points, especially when there's a fight. At the Spurs you don't have that. If Victor's not performing well, you don't have anyone who can go for 30/40 points. So you can have fun and speculate about who's to blame, just to keep the trade and the money flowing, but it doesn't make much sense. The second player, who seems to have a lot of potential, is Castle, provided he gets his average above 20 points, which will be useful in a match, if he gets above 30 points. Otherwise, it'll always be very fair, working out every other time.

Wow, I totally agree with you on the subject of Sochan. I have been stating that the coach is not fighting for the players enough with the league calling tiki tak fouls and not managing the fouls with Zach and Wenby better, not playing Bassey over Zack.

It wasn't on Sochan. The offense ground to a halt when the team started hunting Jokic (who didn't care that he was being hunted).

The Spurs have a coaching problem. Why is Vassell playing point guard, only for him to look for his own shot? And why isn't Mitch Johnson devising more schemes to put Wemby in his sweet spots? And where did Castle's minutes go?? It's like last year again.

The Spurs are getting their feet wet with this young roster, we have vets to help along the way but we are still missing bigger pieces. Yes we still need a pg and yes we need a solid big that ain’t Zach Collins. If we have those we wouldn’t have to point fingers, Vassell would have to go if we try to get Fox though. Year 3 is where we should worry if there isn’t any improvement from this season.
@Combinationlock16 күн бұрын
Vassel is the problem. He is getting paid to score points especially when Wemby is off the court. He’s only averaging 15 ppg. Spurs have no one else’s that can create their own shots.

Giving a player more playing time when you dont have a answer is still trash minutes they need to play bassey more he may not do enough for us every night but we will find a answer more times than less if we play him consistently with a decent amout of minutes it will be more promisng to get what we need out of him

Spurs did great and didn’t put the nuggets away, went to overtime, where gassed, and nuggets cooked. Is there anything to be done other than get lucky and hope the threes go in? Nope! Live by the three and die by the three! It’s the modern NBA. Joker gonna score. This just shows the spurs aren’t quite ready for the ring… they need more experience
@Fawnswine16 күн бұрын
Wemby needs to stop being so unselfish. 1 play he had a wide open jumpshot and passed it to Tre Jones who is a 24% 3 point shooter. Dont know how that makes any sense doesnt matter if someone is open if someone is shooting 24% you do not make that pass and that includes Sochan too.

If people are saying is JC fault then they are weird and just natural hater. I truly believe it’s CP3 without a doubt. Not even looking at the box score but even with eye test is clear as they it’s cp3. Even though he’s a in hand coach and vert, it doesn’t mean he can’t be a reliability down the stretch. If jokic is guarding you and the last min of the 4 and OT. You should honestly feel that your useless on offensive which cp3 was. Even other games as well but that is another debate. I’ve realised cp3 is kinda timid to go to the paint for layup, but again that another topic 👌🏿👌🏿

Honestly Clan… I feel that Wemby is partly to blame for this loss. He alone had like 5 maybe 6 turnovers all from trying to bring the ball low on the sweep through before dribbling. Everytime he brought the ball down low they kept ripping him and stealing the ball. Overall though, we had too many turnovers. But he’s not the only one… I also think Coach made some sus calls. But anywho… it was still a great game.
