I didn't understand Tim Cagle until 220 Avg Bowler had him on his channel and really broke it down. It definitely made me go "What the F was that?!" It's really fascinating.

If I were to give my suggestions for Part 3, they would be: 1. Mike Lichtenstein - Very unorthodox as he uses a lot of body english and is able to grip the ball and 2. Billy Hardwick - Not an unorthodox bowling style, but an rather unorthodox execution as he bowled almost right down the middle

Larry Litchstein may have then most unorthodox shot ever for the lefty. He has videos on here that would blow your mind. He pulled here at Crossroads Bowling center back in 1993 in the doubles match. The Beaumont Open. If you do a third part, hes a must include

Wayne Webb; He switched to the one handed with the ball held low in his stance because trying the conventional approach was resulting to often in late timing and thus the need to pull the ball through on the release. It made sense and actually a lot of league and high average bowlers started experimenting with this too.

Daughterty yea and Smallwood too but they're just palm bowlers. Lots of dudes outside the PBA bowl like that. I have 3 cousins alone who bowl like they do. Tackett's form isn't bad. He just bends his elbow quickly before his release in his downswing, probably why he creates so many revs when he releases the ball. Maldonado just bowls with that same stupid two hand form like Ryan Barnes, Belmo, and 1/2 the friggin league righ tnow. Nothing distinctly different from them, though I HATE 2 handed bowling. It's what's kept me from watching the league over the past 7-8 years.

Tackett is far from orthodox most players would strive for his style and power, Rudy revs isn’t really orthodox either I get he flips his wrist but it’s not orthodox, Tim cagle is def orthodox, I don’t see Wayne Webb as orthodox , he just keeps the ball dropped. Ron Williams is def weird, I think buttruff style is mind boggling but the amount of power is crazy he’s good.

The guy whose style completely baffled me was Joe Hutchinson. I always liked seeing him on the show but I always felt his very odd backswing looked too tight and that it would cause elbow problems. Always wanted to see him explain how he developed his swing and if it ever caused him arm problems.

Wow, you actually included my suggestions of Ron Williams and Wayne Webb. I guess since you already put Wayne Webb in, you didn't have to put in Roger Bowker cuz they both did that weird hanging down on one hand thing before their approach. Appreciate that. In a way, Dick Weber himself had an odd form. He was great no doubt and a legend, but he had absolutely NO follow through in his form at all it was so weird. Pete's form is almost the opposite. High backswing, mid side rotation, and total follow through. I'd suggest Dick Weber for your next video. This video is even better than the 1st btw.

I’ve seen Webb in the 90s and he changed his style throwing it holding with both hands, beat amletto for his last win just because he got a back break with a 2-10 in the tenth frame

@@Riz2336Yep I noticed that too. Wayne started using two hands before his approach in the 90s. So weird how it switched all of a sudden but to me, what he used to do should be more taxing on the hand/wrist, especially considering these guys are always throwing 15-16lbs bowling balls, ya know?

@@alonzotanner1226 Yeah holding the ball was taxing his wrist I believe. He also really got a lot more quiet with his release by the 1990s when he started to hold it higher with both hands. Honestly, I always thought resin could have helped him because he had arguably one of the cleanest releases in bowling. That year he had in 1997, honestly I think he could have a few more like that in the early resin era. From that era I think only Weber was better at getting the ball of his hand. I think other off-lane issues started to hinder him towards the 2000s. He won 20 titles and a TOC, but I always thought his physical game was good enough to win more. All that being said, glad he is doing well with his bowling centre in Columbus.

Although it's not very strange now, I think Oscu/Belmo should be on the list since when they started on the tour, they were the only two that were two handers and everyone was up in arms about it

From your accent i am assuming you are British, me and my mates are getting into bowling and want to get our first bowling ball would you suggest going used is good? And with hollywood bowls monopoly its starting to get expensive is there other places that are cheaper?

Are you sure Wayne Webb switched back to holding the ball with one hand in the 2000s? Is there video of that somewhere? He won 2 titles in ‘97 and made a couple shows early in ‘00 and I’m pretty sure he was holding it waist high with both hands in all those shows. Thanks for including my suggestion of McNeeley. If you’re looking for more ideas I would suggest Bobby Jacks. He looked absolutely awful throwing the ball.

I roll my dad’s blue urethane Hammer. Too bad if I bowl in the PBA I can’t use it now. I have a reactive and plastic spare I can use though. I’m in the USBC leagues so I’m not worried about urethane rules. My dad would be proud to see me roll it if he were still here.

Arne Stroem who won the Bowling World Cup in 1977 when it was held at Tolworth had a pretty unusual style, he must have been as strong as a ox the way he swung his ball (an LT48 if I recall correctly) prior to his approach .
