Yes, you can use Isopropyl Alcohol instead of cleanser :)

Does Acrygel last as long as acrylic or gel when it comes to lifting?

Great question, Brenda :) As long as the nails are prepped properly and the product is applied well there should be no more risk of lifting than acrylic or gel.

It can be used for extensions, yes :) We just recommend applying over our Premium Fit Tips for a new set, rather than fully sculpting over forms.

Hi Linda, Yes, just like when sculpting an Acrylic or Gel nail, you will still need to sculpt a structurally sound nail :)

Hi Holly! A base coat isn't required for our Velveteen Acrygel - but if you notice you are experiencing any issues with clients lifting, we can suggest using a coat of our Builder Base after our Prep and Primer for maximized adhesion :)

@@UglyDucklingNails thank you, is the velveteen quite firm to use? I currently use a brand of Acrygel that I do one side on one nail and then perfect the other side of the same nail but by the time I've done the second side the first has run into the sidewalls and cuticle 🤦‍♀️ thank you

​@@hollypalmer882 Great question! I would say the Velveteen is "medium" firmness. Not too hard, not too soft. However, we always have to take into consideration the temperature of the room we are working in, as well as the temperature of the clients hands :) If the room is cooler, or the clients hands are cooler, the product will remain a bit stiffer. Meanwhile, if the room is warmer or the clients have nice toasty warm hands, the product will warm up and become less stiff. For this reason, depending on how quicky you work, we can suggest applying 2-4 nails at once then curing, and working back and forth between hands. If you notice your product is warming and starting to self level, you'll need to gauge how many nails you can do at once before having to cure :)

I find the alcohol based cleansers and slip solutions ruin my brushes whether they are synthetic or Kalinsky.

It may be that you're using too much liquid :) Try just slightly dampening the brush to simply keep the product from sticking to the bristles while you work.
