Can I make these with a video???

@@ugocapeto3d I saw somewhere you can make it with a command line program called stereograph, do you know it?

@@julietawapetona6954 no, i don't know it as i don't deal with videos at all. I know there are AI software out there that do 2d to 3d conversions of single-stream (2d) videos. I would look into google colab and huggingface and see what you can find there. I remember seeing about a post about such AI based software on my facebook feed not too long ago. But those are 2d to 3d converters, that is, the input is a 2d stream, not a side by side stream.

@ugocapeto3d i'm trying this out for the first time. I followed you all the way up to Create Depth Map. When I click "Create Depth Map", it says "Image 1 not loaded". Any advice? Thanks!

Make sure to load a stereo pair. You need to see 2 images, one on the left and one on the right. Here I am using the scan of a stereo slide that I split into 2 in gimp. But, you really don't need to split the original side by side image like i do in the video. You can load the whole thing in SPM And it will split for you into left and right images. File, Open Stereo Image and choose the side by side image.

instead of using gimp to crop images i would suggest mspaint, just save the same image twice. For the left version you just drag the right border to half and save. For the right version you mark it exactly in the middle/top, select the entire right half (mouse drag to bottom/right) and press the crop button. Takes a few seconds instead of all that gimp fuckery
