Shiva hold Ganga jala on his head, which came from from trivikramas feet. 11 rudras prayed narasimha to calm down, ashta muka Gandaberunda Narasimha gave moksha to Sharabha...etc you can't just look at one small detail and just follow that and ignore the rest.
