I have a theory on where birds and fish went. I think that birds and fish never gained human traits, So the predators eat the birds and fish, instead of eating other human like animals, So this is how the birds and fish never made an appearance. Or they just have different cities. Like an underwater city for fish and a sky city or treetop city for birds.
@mrvespuccia.k.ameganite17474 жыл бұрын
And then you gotta remember the fact on what the hell predators eat, and where are any primates? There aren’t any humans but that doesn’t mean that all primates would be gone.and what about other relatives of humans such as Neanderthals?did they not exist too?and if there weren’t any humans nor relatives of them,,then were are the mega fauna from the ice age since humans wouldn’t have been around to drive them into extinction?hell,there are a lot of questions and we need some answers.(ima say that Zootopia takes place in the far future where the human race leaves earth and let’s other species inhabit them,and hell,maybe Zootopia was once inhabited by humans and was once the largest city in the world for them but was abandoned and once other animals got smarter,they inhabited the old cities and restored them and changed them to fit them)

I have a theory why they would need an antidote. The bellwether team would have the ability and resources to breed the plants with different traits (something we already do with plants in the real world) because of this they could of made a strain of the plants where the affects didn't naturally flush out of there body's. And when the cops found the places where the flowers were being breed they also would if found the research note made and if not they could of made a dill with the researchers that worked with the plants to help make a cure in exchange for lesser prison time.

I have a theory that the Night Howler serum has an obscenely long half life. There are some medications on the market that can have half lives of days to weeks to even months. If that is the case here, the effects could last even longer, depending on the concentration in the blood stream needed to produce those effects. In this instance it would make sense to synthesize an antidote rather than letting the victims suffer for such a long period of time.

On the subject of why they would need an antidote if the effects would just wear off, perhaps the substance in question has an obscenely long half life. For anyone not familiar with the term, a medication's half life is the amount of time it takes for the body to rid itself of half of the original dose. There are some medications on the market that have a half life of days to weeks to even months in some cases. If that is the case with the Night Howler serum, the victims could be under its effects for a very long time. Therefore, it would make sense to synthesize an antidote.

I like to assume that Birds, Fish and Reptiles didn't evolve like all the other mammalian animals seen in Zootopia, and because they are unevolved, and act the same in that world as they act here, that they act as the main source of meat. This is only slightly backed up by an ad in the ice town that mentions something about all you can eat fish. Plus, the animals still presumably eat some sort of meat since many characters still have canine teeth.

I also wonder,what about primates? Because I’m pretty sure for the trailer for Zootopia I’ve heard they said it’s a world where humans don’t exist.Yet they ONLY say humans, so what about apes such as chimps,gorillas, bonobos and orangutans?And what about relatives of humans,such as Neanderthals? And even if they didn’t exist, then what about lemurs?They’ve been around since the Cretaceous era and the only thing stopping them from going everywhere was because primates filled that niche.

Wait, you're talking about ingesting the flower. It's been a while since i've seen the movie, but if I remember right, I don't remember any of the animals ever ingesting the flower. They were just shot and the liquefied flower hit them. That would cause a different effect, right? Because it couldn't just leave their body. It was stuck to their fur. Maybe the uncle was eventually fine because the body flushed it away, like you said. But he also just ate a regular flower. But for the animals that were targeted with it, the flower was put into a liquefied state and shot with a gun. Then... That makes the antidote totally pointless if it were on the outside of the body (Unless it affected the brain somehow anyway). It's possible just cleaning the fur and giving them time to recover was all. But yeah, I haven't seen the movie in the while. If you happen to see this, what do you think?
@K.Marie1197 жыл бұрын
Conny Tanaka The effects could be the same, no matter how the substance got into the blood stream. The only thing that may differ would be intensity because the amount that actually reaches the blood stream is dependent on the route of administration. It's why doses of an oral preparation are usually higher than IV preparations of the same medication. Because with IV administration 100% of the medication enters the blood stream and is available for distribution to the tissues. With oral medications, only a percentage is absorbed and is also subject to first pass metabolism, meaning that another percentage is removed by the liver before it can be distributed. Topically administered substances are not subjected to first pass metabolism. Also, remember that the the substance the animals were shot with wasn't the poison that is obtained directly from the flower. It was being altered in a lab, a lot like what is done to the opium obtained from the Poppy to turn it into Heroin. We have no way of knowing how those chemical processes have altered the pharmacology of the original substance. For all we know, the entire amount could be absorbed quickly and washing the fur and skin would have no effect.
@Anuyushi7 жыл бұрын
Ahh, I see! That does make sense I believe.
@Thegrrog7 жыл бұрын
Conny Tanaka You just brought up something very interesting. Because I agree with the fact that if the poison was on the fur, and not orally consumed. But if all they had to do was clean the effected mammals. Why did they say they made a cure for something that could be washed off? Is it the media in zootopia trying to make the doctors look better ? In order to make the citizens feel they are in the best medical care. Think of it like you said they would just have to clean the fur. But if they say the cause for the recovery of the predators was a antidote. This would support the statement I made about the media and the doctors. Well I hope the therozier see your comments because it is a good mini theory and I really like it, and I just wanted to tell you what my thoughts were on it.
@Recoil18087 жыл бұрын
Personally I think it's just much more likely to have, as Kristen said, been rapidly absorbed in through the skin. After all, you know how your skin gets all wrinkly out of the bath? That's your skin absorbing the water. This would be little different, honestly, except it would likely take some sort of reagent to cause such.. rapid.. absorption. That said, it's entirely possible that either the cure "happened" to coincide with the effects being flushed out, for most patients, and it's just as possible that the mental effects were designed to subside before the more physical--deadlier effects took hold. Who knows? Maybe that was even a contingency of sorts (though I doubt it, 'cuz I don't think Disney wants to go Watershed Down on our asses with the sequel).
@Anuyushi7 жыл бұрын
So maybe that lab was actually working on modifying the flower for rapid absorb in the liquid state?

As any veterinarian (or human physician, for that matter) knows, "the solution to pollution is dilution"-- that is to say a toxin gets flushed from the body quickest with great volumes of liquid, or possibly activated charcoal for adsorption. So in that, you are right, whatever "antidote" the predators were given at the end of the film may simply have been a catalyst rather than a true "cure".

With Bellweather, it's also possible that she wasn't looking terribly closely into the side-effects. Like many rulers and people in charge, if the results she wants are achieved, how they get there is secondary. So while it is a neurotoxin, she might just defer its use, synthesis, and manufacturing to those who have better skills, who she trusts to do what needs done to make this work. So, while there are clearly motivations, I would also suggest that they are no less evil than the average villain, especially in regards to willful ignorance. However, her willingness to allow others to die, or to watch another be slaughtered, suggests that there is something wrong with her. Why does a ewe have no fear when an apparently wild fox is snarling and about to tear something apart? Even those with higher thinking ability shirk back from something with teeth and are about to use them. Especially in the case of one who assisted you in moving your plan forward?
@stevenwickens88135 жыл бұрын
Rabbits and herbivores in general have a different digestive system than predators/Carnivores so may be affected differently by the toxin from the plants , therefore more likely to recover with less long lasting affects Like Chocolate is toxic to dogs or the pollen of lilies is toxic to cats. Further more Saffron, that comes from the winter crocus whose side effects, when taken in large doses, are similar to the symptoms seen in the predators that ingest "Night Howler".

I think maybe the howlers are a hybrid of the two which would explain the fact of why the color is a mix between the light purple of the spring and the dark blue of the autumn, and why the effects aren't the same, when the flower variations were mixed, maybe the more physical effects couldn't be passed and were dropped, and the psychological effects were amplified. It might even be that mayor bellweather modified them to have the chosen effects, as I'm assuming the flowers seen at the farm only caused unreasonable aggression temporarily, because when they mention about the uncle, they say it offhand like it was a minor event instead of the tragedy it would've been if he hadn't been easily cured like those in that facility who didn't know who they were and were just extremely aggressive. And genetically modified because she didn't so much to change the juice before putting it in the pellets.

I laugh at people who stupidly use Hitler, KKK, and Donald Trump comparisons to Bellwether who is nothing like those guys, especially when they ignore the plot holes and unanswered questions in regard to her so-called diabolical plot with no backup plans if her first ones went haywire. There are so many reasons why she's not fit to be a true terrorist or dictator like many other fictional villains more deserving of the title than she ever will be.
@DreadestPersephone7 жыл бұрын
Nothing happened in said people’s childhoods to backup what they had done (or still doing). I’m sure something had happened to Bellwether in her childhood to make her this way. So I completely agree with you. She’s nothing like them.
@Disneyfan827 жыл бұрын
True, not all cruel, evil villains have a tragic past, but those who do I feel real sympathy for have more than one reason, well in media mostly, but real ones like Charles Manson, Adolf Hitler, Stalin, or the KKK have nothing to justify their evil and corruption. But Bellwether is nothing like those guys as I still suspect she is a tragic villain like Chirin (Ringing Bell of Chirin) and Baby Doll, victimized by trauma, tragedy, self loathing, prejudice, bullying, abuse, and fear.

*+Luigi Marinus 3* It was an act. she wanted to mislead them into arresting Lionheart, and setting up predator citizens as potential criminals. She was more or less manipulating them.
@Disneyfan827 жыл бұрын
Nargis NightMare97. Rather than overuse the moronic Donald Trump and KKK comparisons some people keep overusing for no reason which is stupid, she was possibly once a victim of prejudice, bullying, and abuse by other predators in her youth because of what she was; a sheep which made her an easy target for their cruel games with Lionheart becoming the last straw and like Chirin (Ringing Bell of Chirin), she wanted to change all that and wanted to be in a position where she was no longer at the mercy of the world. And her nice personality was not all an act, for she really did like Judy, but felt betrayed when turning down her offer. If she was truly desperate to kill Judy anytime, she could have done so by sending her rams to assassinate her, but it never happened.

I love the race comparison people tend to make with zootopia: it implies some people are genetically pre programmed to be predators and that different races CAN'T interbreed HGAAHAHAHAGAHAH. But muh nature vs nurture!

Kenneko X It's about prejudice in general. Neither prey or predator is supposed represent any specific group.
@fruitygarlic36017 жыл бұрын
My point is that having a specific group of characters (literally a minority in terms of the figures we get) who's nature it is to kill and eat others kinda undermines the whole "treat other people equally" thing.

Kenneko X I think they were trying to show that racism and sexism go deeper than just clear definitions. I noticed that they do end up persecuting predators, but in the Police station, not all of the large animals were predators. There was the elephant, who was female, but the police treated her normally. It was just a very complex movie with many different social levels and I think they did that on purpose.

Actually, I want to say that in 6:04 an antidote is needed because Uncle Terry ate a flower and then expelled the poison, but other predators were shot with bullets that have poison in them, and in the laboratory you probably don't prolong the action of the poison as we see, they just pull the poison out of the flower that is most likely in a liquid state, and then you force it into a small glass ball, so probably the poison works on predators, because it's in their blood, not in their stomach, and they need medicine, and because even the brain has to be well supplied with blood, probably poison could also get into it, over which certainly experiments were carried out so that it would not kill predators but so that they still became more aggressive. And I'm writing this in 2021 under the 2017 film I'm sure that no one will see what I wrote here anyway, that's life.
