It was one of the most entertaining VHS that i rented when i was a teen. I rewatched it several times with my friends back then, some of which are no longer among us. Good memories.

I get it. The best comedy movies are around 1 hour and 30 minutes, plus or minus a little. Overwrite the script, overshoot the film, edit EVERYTHING, cut out the excess to only include the best of the beat

Absolutely, By SAG union rules, there's always a play or pay clause in their contract. Which means that even if you never appear in the final film, you must still get paid for your time, and if you get a name credit on film then you're entitled to a portion of royalties.
