Maya: The Sweet Isoparm Value

There's a well hidden (?) parameter in Maya which is called the Isoparm Value. I only discovered it recently and was amazed about how simple and effective it is.
The particles you see in this thumbnail and animated at the beginning and end of the video are not part of the tutorial. Maybe they are your homework? ;-)

Hello very nice video it helped mee a lot but please help me. Whenever I am creating a nurbs primitive a colour is added to it automatically why so and one more problem is that if I make a nurbs cube and delete it's faces then the colour only works on one side but not on the other help me please.

no, the isoparms are unique to NURBS.

@@Uhr24 I know this, but is it possible to make the same EFFECT on a polygonal surface? Let's say I want the dolphin to disappear or appear from nose to tail.
