For the red zealot, at the clock tower before activate the lift, climb up the ladders then pull the level for the giant spike balls coming down, immediately jump down to the lift and activate going up. The first red zealot will appear and will be squashed by the giant spike balls, giving players some peace in mind. Hope that helps! this tactic coming from youtube RE speedrunners Ifreemz

Not really. More so that the engine and video game flaws get abused to make him appear to be such, since video games are very forgiving to casual players, allowing this level of abuse to happen. I wish RE games were more along the lines of interactive movies with different story endings etc, making speedrun in conventional sense impossible and making character have cannon-levels of power. Essentially the game is 98% cutscene driven.

RE difficulty adaption system. Example: low health, less kill counts, less healing items or ammos actually managed to kill the hardcore Salazar with only handguns. Hard to explain, but it is true.

Not sure when this was recorded. Phase 1 of Krauser fight now involves allowing the cutscene to play until a certain point and then skipping it. This spawns Krauser in a different place allowing you to run straight to the wheel to unlock the door.

For the Armadura, I think it is better to kick off all of their helmets and just throw a single flash grenade. It kills all the armors in the area and saves you Rifle ammo too.

It's a fixed encounter, they only come 2 at a time and 3 in the end, they don't all come in one go.

Since its a speedrun strat, you most likely want to save your flashbangs as much as you can, because these bosses has certain pattern than can be mastered if you practices them enough The flashbang, I believe is a really valuable item that would save speedrunners from regular mobs and overall skipping an entire encounter, which is the most thing a speedrunner has to consider because those took most of their min/max times

To be honest, the Resident Evil series encourages speedrunning. It cultivates it. Because usually in order to get the coolest stuff you got to beat the game as quick and efficiently as possible without taking too much damage. Like, with a Gameshark on RE2 N64, you can easily beat that game in under an hour. The RE games actually aren't that long. It's set to the pace of the player.

I saw a speedrun guy just for chainsaw sisters just shooting crossbow mines at the bulb. 5 mines. They explode right after cutscene finishes, and if any one of the survives, they are easy to finish off.

For the red zealot in Ch7, I crouch my way up to the stairs to the right and shotgun the enemy at the top of the stairs. Then I throw a flash, run up to the red zealot and shotgun him a few times. Get the lantern, jump over the banister and run out of there!

If we're using any weapons, pretty much any enemy will die if you shoot a few explosive arrows where they're about to spawn, this includes most bosses.

As a hardcore RE fan, this game is significantly easier than the others. Every death that happened to me was usually me being overconfident. I just take my time in combat. Thanks to the new movement physics, I have quickly mastered the controls. Anyone else?

For the "Armadora" fight (head monsters inside armor suits), why didn't they use a flashbang after exposing all three head monsters? It would have killed all three instantly, and been significantly faster than what was shown.

Sadler final boss battle, first form. Frikken hands went into a twisted claw trying to fight him without the rocket launcher after an hour of constantly dying. Only used the Handcannon with unlimited ammo, more herbs combos than a 200 acre farm and still couldn't do it! 😭
