@Ferior Russia had 120 people killed by terrorist. It was public knowledge that Russia was fighting them before 9/11 unlike China that kept it quiet then used 9/11 to their own benefit. As part Chinese I say you are blinded to the realities by your pride to China like I was but if the Han Chinese culture was threaten to be destroyed you would defend it like anyone else would with their culture.Chechnya is a republic with a lot of autonomy which means their culture isn't dying like the Uyghurs are.

The way this "video" was made by a western white, one would never know that over 80% of the population of Urumqi is Han/Chinese. The uighurs are not even native to Urumqi. Urumqi is located in the Dzunghar basin which is in NORTHERN Xinjiang where the "native" people were Mongols and Kazaksh BUT NOT uighurs. The original home of the uighurs is in the Tarim basin in SOUTHERN Xinjiang. And even then the Tarim basin isn't the original home of the uighurs. The original home of the uighurs are in what is present-day western Mongolia. The uighurs only migrated to the Tarim basin in the 700-800 AD and displaced the Tocharian peoples existing there. The Dzunghar basin was the home of the Mongol Dzunghar Khanate (which obviously gives it its name). During the 1700s, there was a war between the Qing Empire and the Dzunghar Khanate with the Qing victorious and the Dzunghar Mongolian population decimated which left the Dzunghar basin more or less depopulated. This was the period when Czarist Russia was rapidly expanding eastward into Siberia so the Qing emperors were concerned about Russian expansionism into the empty Dzunghar basin so during the mid-1700s, the Qing began to strongly encourage Han/Chinese migration into the Dzunghar basin/Northern Xinjiang (at the same time the Qing expressly prohibited Han migration into the Tarim basin/Southern Xinjiang) By the late 1700s/early 1800s, the Han migration into the Dzunghar basin resulted in major economic development of the Dzunghar basin/Northern Xinjiang. This attracted the impoverished uighur people in the Tarim basin and uighurs began to migrate to the Dzunghar in small numbers. However substantial Han migration into the Dzunghar basin continued through the 1800s and early 1900s and only came to slow when the Qing empire collapsed and China fell into political and economic chaos of disunity and warlordism. Han migration into the Dzunghar basin/NORTHERN Xinjiang only resumed in any substantial basis when the Communist victory in 1949 restored political order. HOWEVER, despite the LIES of the turkish nationalists and western propagandist liars, the Han population in Northern Xinjiang BEFORE the communist came to power was already at around 50-60% and Urumqi was already a substantial city developed by the Han AND THE uIGHUR POPULATION IN NORTHERN XINJIANG/URUMQI WAS VERY SMALL. The VAST majority of uighurs residing in NORTHERN Xinjiang and ESPECIALLY Urumqi are migrants or descendents of migrants that arrived in NORTHERN Xinjiang after the Communists came to power and began to actively develop the Dzunghar basin/Northern Xinjiang which resulted in attracting uighurs in large numbers. Nonetheless the population the Dzunghar basin/Northern Xinjiang is over 80% Han/Chinese while uighurs represent less than 15% of the population of Northern Xinjiang with the rest being Mongols and Kazakhs. The CHINESE BUILT and DEVELOPED city of Urumqi reflects the overall population of Northern Xinjiang with Urumqi's demographics consisting of over 80% Han/Chinese with around 15+% uighurs and the rest being Mongols, Kazakhs, Russians, other. If the western white that made this "video" wanted to show a REAL uighur town WITHOUT LYING THROUGH EDIT MANIPULATION, the western white should have gone to Kashgar where the uighurs are actually the majority because it's in uighur-majority SOUTHERN Xinjiang.

hi, if u uyghur want to claim your land back then you have to learn your fucking history first. your uyghur were originate from Mongolia Steppe, been defeated by different nations/tribes. u should go to Republic of Mongolia to claim your lost land. the place called "xing jiang" were actually the land of descendents of persians. we chinese (56 ethnic groups) are one family, this also means uyghur is one of us.
