Pete, Please suggest a few of the better sources for a practice set of Uilleann pipes.

The biggest thing is to avoid ebay or Amazon. You ideally will need to interact with a pipe maker and even better know another piper that can help you adjust your reed to avoid frustration. Listen to a set you like and then ask about experiences in a forum.

It is. Notice the right hand is the upper one on the chanter. In Irish he is a ciotóg (kithogue) as I am myself.
