Why there are different types of ocr and what is the advantage of each of them

Different OCR engines are built by various companies and there are multiple OCR’s because if one OCR does not work on a specific image we can use a alternate OCR and try! No OCR engine can hundred percent guarantee that it will be able to digitise all the images andscanned documents hundred percent perfectly

Hi Rakesh, First of all thank you so much making videos. It is really very helpful. It's been a while I started watching your videos and all are informative:) I have a clarification here. If the image is scanned and stored as PDF file. Will Omni OCR Engine get executed?

If the scanned document is in .pdf format it turns to be digital document! The moment it understands its already a digital document it will not utlize the OCR capabilities to convert to digital output! it will be just converted to digital text output as explained in the video! You said OCR engine not required in digitization , but you used ominiocr engine, I think I am confused , and I have one more doubt without document understanding can we used ominiocr engine instead of other ocr engine like microsoft OCR

In digitisation step using an OCR engine is mandatory, you can use any type of ocr engine. From my experience omnipage ocr works quite well

Why we use "omnipage ocr" insted of "Microsoft ocr" and lot of there....

We can try any of the best suited OCR! There is not restrictions in choosing which one to use! However, you must check which OCR engine works best for your document! It's more of try and check
