UiPath Regex Extractor on Multiple Documents

: In this video we are going to learn how to apply uipath regex based extractor on multiple files. You will get a clear cut example of regex based data extraction.
In this example the very first task is to download all the files provided by uipath academy for document understanding practice purpose. I have shown how to design a proper DU workflow which is going to help in further learning of document understanding. I would recommend you to create similar framework built in your uipath studio.
In the data extraction scope of uipath document understanding we will drag and drop the uipath regex extractor and start building the regex code using regex builder provided by uipath. Building the regex expression using regex builder is very simple and easy. I have shown multiple examples of how to write the expression in the uipath regex extrator activity. Please do utilize the entire video to learn it perfectly.

You are giving two different files as input, but in Data extraction scope, the Classification result is always given as 0 index. how does the second classification works?

Hi Rakesh, on the present validation station activity, form 10-k is not extracting but on the document it is highlighted, 10-Q picks up. Got data extraction scope error: index was outside the bounds of the array

You are not able to extract form10k because, there is no space between 'Form' and '10' , for Form10k doc, just remove the whitespace from regex expression and try to extract, you will see 10k gets extracted and 10q dosnt because in form10q there is a space between 'form' and '10'. I faced the same issue. need to write a regular expression to fulfill both the condition. Use Regular Expression in advance and try. I hope it will serve the purpose : (10-)\w

Hi Dimple, to extract data from a resume you may try using the regex option which is quite easy to implement! If I have understood your requirement correctly, yes you can try to extract Name Location Email phone number etc.
