I got this on preorder. It is a fun piece of software, especially if you’re into modern sound design stuff. Btw, I recommend using the latch button, especially when first getting this. It makes it much easier to try everything out without holding down your chords so you can change bass or intensity and use the “end” key switch better etc - see what it’s capable of. Nice review.

It's the same latch concept in NI Rise & Hit. Pretty useful indeed!

Dude.. this alone should be loaded to EVERY session of cubase.. even if it's not being used in the score.. but to simply aid and cure writer's block.. I've been trying to come up with ideas completely from scratch by hand.. and after a couple hours your mind is like.. fried.. This allows you to sample so many ideas/variations simply.. then can build ideas off what you get by brainstorming with this..even if you use other instruments to do it.. the rhythm variations this thing creations is genius

Is it a phrase library? How does it compare to action strings?

Wow it is a great tool for getting some ideas and the nice thing is that it has the modern hybrid sound, i will try the demo and play some time with it, thanks for this great review Mike!

Excellent, Mike - as always. You've introduced me to some great content, including Orchestra Complete 2, which I got to use professionally this week. So an extra thank you. This product looks great for creating quickly whilst retaining a fair amount of creative control from within the one user interface.

The Orchestra is also amazing. This is more "hybrid" sound design focused compared to that product though.

Hi Mike, are there different outputs for example for "Bass Notes" and the rest Chords? Thx in advance, Nick

Hmm, not in Logic right now, but I don't think you can route them out individually. However, the very essence of the interface is to treat the low-end and high-end separately within the plugin itself.

ok, sounds good, but what if I need to use only the cellos? or violas? I could not! there is no way to have individual instruments, no midi to manipulate. No midi, to make cuts, fills, hooks, and other creativity. and hold? not there! for endings
@thomaslthomas1506

The biggest problem I see is this does not allow export to midi like many Ujam plugins have.

This is really good software. It's really easy to use with tons of phrases possibilities. It's a pity this video does not show you how to use it, rather than showing you what you are going to do when you have a new software installed, which is trial and error each feature. If you have the software you will waste your time watching it, like I do.

I think this is all about phrases.. You can't play on your own like the Orchestra complete I guess?
@fedorvoronovcomposer

I am not a huge fan of things that are done for you, like this could be made outside of this processing thing, and then it'd be cool af, but as it is, it is just a very elaborate loop machine

@mikaelbaggstrom
@mikaelbaggstrom 3 жыл бұрын
Oh I know what you mean Fedor. I basically record every single part of my compositions, so I practically never use phrases or loops. But I was drawn to this because the sound design engine is so cool. Could be used as a starting point as you said, and then add on your own parts.

@@mikaelbaggstrom Totally agree. I see it the same way. I bought it after seing all the sound design possibilities and also because it sounds very good. It can even be used in an EDM song. Or in orchestral track but maybe as a layer rhythm track or to create a breakdown part of a song or similar partial section of a song. I have yet to create a full track only with it but it could be a nice challenge.
