The UK has become the first country to send long-range missiles to Ukraine in an escalation of western support for Kyiv.
Storm Shadow cruise missiles have a typical range of around 155 miles, enabling Ukraine to strike deep behind the front lines and disrupt Russian supply lines before a spring counter-offensive.

I know very little about brit politics but as an aussie expat in nyc I can respect a labour man that can appreciate a Tory when he is doing well, in the US it has become pure tribalism, very little appreciation for anything the other party does. It makes it hard to function as a nation when there is no cooperation b/n opposing parties.

The USA is supplying GLSDB (ground-launched small diameter bomb) missiles to Ukraine, with a range of 150 km and an accuracy of 3 ft 3 in (1 m) CEP. That's longer than the 92 km range of the GMLRS the USA has been supplying to Ukraine. The range of GLSDB is enough to reach most of Ukrainian territory under Russian occupation from firing positions inside Ukrainian-held territory, except for most of Crimea. Also, the public probably doesn't hear the full extent of what the USA supplies to Ukraine. It would be dumb to warn Russia about every new weapon that Ukraine gets. Better for Ukraine to inform the Russian occupiers by blowing up Russian ammo dumps that were at a presumably safe distance from the front line.

@@ryanthompson5761 I really believe that many countries follow the U.S. That said, I don’t know the aircraft inventory of every country. If I’m not mistaken, Ukrainian pilots have already been training on F-16s. So, that has to be factored in. Additionally, I think there has been delay built in to getting even promised weapons and support to Ukraine. But, yes, the resources to win are needed now. Not after even more villages, towns and cities have been leveled. Not after more kindergartens bombed. Not, after more and more people have died. And certainly not after Russia has created a nuclear disaster by making all of the employees of one of the world’s largest nuclear plants leave their jobs. Now. Not 6 months from now.
