UK BRP Not Scanning on UKVI App? | PSW Graduate Visa Application Tips for International Students

Hi bro, My ukvi acc is created using my indian passport. I tried to add myBRP as an ID, but they havent updated it for the last one months time. So now i applied via booking a apppintment with ukvcas. Afterwards they sent me a link to apply for psw, in which i filled in my details and added my husband as a "additional applicant". But in the payment session i am being asked to pay an ihs amount of £4140. Any one knows can i proceed with this?. Do i need to apply sepearte application for my dependant?

If the immigration team is not replying to the issues like this one and if you have deadline like just 1&2 days left to complete the application and still if you are not able to do that so if i book appointments on my last day ...will it be fine ?

yes, just book the appointment as soon as possible. the worst case is u may not be able to work for the next few weeks coz ur employee would know ur student visa expired. but nothing major

Hi, I have submitted my PSW application along with the dependents. During entire application steps there was no page where it asked for BRP details like BRP number. After IHS AND Application fees was paid I was redirected automatically on biometric appointment page. I got biometrics appointment on 10th of feb while my visa is expiring on 27jan. Is that okay or do I have to book an appointment before my e visa expires??

Need a suggestion: I was unable to scan my BRP, so I proceeded with the option “Different way.” I entered all my details in the application and provided my dependent’s information in the same application. At no point were we asked for BRP details for either of us. However, there is an important note: “Biometric residence permit (BRP) holders should provide their BRP details, including expired BRPs. On the ‘Reasons for not providing identity documents’ page of your application, enter your BRP number and expiry date. This will help us to process your application.” Should I proceed to pay the IHS and book an appointment? They have only asked for mandatory documents such as the passport.

I manually filled out the visa form since I couldn't scan my BRP. The instructions stated that I should enter my expired BRP details in the 'Reasons for not providing identity document' section. yes that’s correct. u wont be asked to fill in ur bro details until the payment page. only after u pay everything will u be directed to the appointment link where u can book it and share the details

@@papagyan2736 yes, I was able to book an appointment with TLS for my biometrics. They only asked gor the details of our official travel document, ie passport. In addition to that I had to upload my child's birth certificate and a consent letter as I was applying for the UK visa for minor dependent and proof of address too.

if the details are not matching u can either call the ukvi to check with them first or directly take an appointment. i wud suggest to call them first as it is quicker and u’d know what the problem is before paying huge amount

Hi bro,Its that my evisa is not linked to BRP but my spouse and son's BRP is linked to evisa and their chip os scanned and processed .Therefore ,I have taken an appoint for biometrics at one of the centres . My query is that do I have to take my son and spouse's biometric appointment or she can do it online since their evisa is linked to BRP ?

hi bro , As per my passport, my given name is "ABC EFG" and I have no surname. However, when I scan my BRP, it shows my given name in the surname field while the given name field remains blank and my application details shows given name "ABC" , surname "ABC EFG" . I encountered the same issue when converting my BRP to an eVisa. Upon contacting the UKVI eVisa helpline, I was advised to proceed despite this discrepancy, which I did, and successfully obtained my eVisa. Now, while following the same process for my graduate visa application, I am directed to a step that asks, "Do you want to change your account passport?" because it does not matches, This has left me uncertain about how to confirm my identity and proceed further. do you have any suggestion about it ?

hey bro, if ukvi inititally suggested u to proceed despite the discrepancy, chances r u cn do the same now too. also, if u hv already comverted ur brp to evisa, do u still need to scan d physical card again?

Hi. When scanned my BRP using UK immigration ID checker my given name is not fully come as Im having a long name. Faced the similar issue earlier when applied for Evisa. But when contacted the helpline I sorted out and got my Evisa successfully as it had an option of manually feeding the details. Now how can I apply for the graduate visa. Because my visa expire on 27th January.

yes it does that after 3 unsuccesful attempts. all u can do now is wait fir 24hrs and try again. use a different phone this time if possible

Bro i have one question. Actually i have applied my Psw visa and in staring there was a question related to fingerprint that have you done that before in uk visa Application and i selected YES there and we have done that in india before coming here. My visa have been applied i got email and reference number. But there was not any option of biometric. all looks and sounds good. ur biometric and finger prints and all other info is connected to ur brp. so if u were able to scan ur brp then all ur information will automatically be updated in their system. i dont think u hv to worry now. just need to wait for the results

So when i start applying his visa after scanning documents they are showing that Detail not matching. What should I have to do? On page they said that i should have to passport. since they r dependents on you, you may have to book appointments for everyone since their application is connected with urs.

so if you have booked a physical appointment, u only need ur passport. take brp as well just to be on d safe side, but that’s all.

hey komal, this seems to be something ukvi can resolve if you call them. their phone no. is available on their official website. however, due to holiday season, their response time would be very high. dont worry, u still hv tome though

@@Komal-uk i had the same issue as my given name is Kiran and doesn't have surname in passport. While creating account there will be a option that if we don't have both given and surname then put your name in Surname option. I also did same. I have applied my PSW and detail was correct.

@@urvashisetia4451 if you are not planning to go back india during this time, it should be okay. coz u wont be able to come back. if u stay in uk till march, it might be okay. The better option would be to contact ukvi and check for an early booking. u can also call the TLS CONTACT people and ask for the appointment

u can skip the identity verification by choosing the app doesnt work option. after that u can fill the form like usual, with ur full name on it. the identitfiaction will be done in the end when u book the appointment and show ur brp and passport
