@@NarutoOnDope the author hasn't mentioned Naruto nowhere in his interviews. Most of the similarities can be seen in like 90% of other shonens. Watch YYH and you'll see how much Naruto took from there. As to Bleach being the father, the BC author himself repeatedly said how much of inspiration Bleach had on him. Inspiration is not just taking inspiration of someone else's story, but to be inspired to draw manga. Gege was heavily influenced by Kubo and Bleach and he's one of the reasons he started drawing manga

The books are Grimoires. Its a book thats used by Magicians, hence the page numbers and the often occurences of books in the openings. Theyre in kingdoms with names resembling the four symbols of cards: Diamond, Heart. Clover, Spade. Black Catcher is the name of the opening lol you'll know the enemy's name when you watch it. In opening 11, the flags are the different squads/groups that individually work to protect the Clover Kingdom. The clover flag above them is the kingdom's flag.

Most people from the clover kingdom have grimoires with 3 leaves (representing hope, love and faith), a rare few have a 4 leaf clover (+ good luck) and it's magic is abnormally powerful, but the main character has a 5 leaf clover (+ demon) and it's black, hence the name of the show. :)

is black clover a book? well kinda, "clover" is one of the 4 main kingdoms that the story revolves around ( clover, spades, diamonds, hearts). it's a magic anime so characters cast spells and every "magic knight" has a grimoire, which is the book you see with each character, and each kingdom has their own shape on the front of the grimoire. for instance, "clover" which is the main kingdom, has a clover shape on every grimoire for its knights. Well black? could be two things, the color of the main character's grimoire, or the name of his team/squad. at least that's what i have concluded after watching the anime
