In his first UK EXCLUSIVE interview, director Sharan Sharma decodes his latest film Mr & Mrs Mahi, his connection with ‪@DharmaMovies‬ since becoming a filmmaker and whether the latest industry trends concern him.
Mr & Mrs Mahi reunites Rajkummar Rao & Janhvi Kapoor's pairing. The film is backed by Karan Johar alongside Zee Studios. The film revolves around a married couple who share a love for cricket. Though Mahendra (Rao) is a failed cricketer, he identifies a natural talent in his doctor wife Mahima (Kapoor). Subsequently, they both commence pursuing this ambition to succeed in their passion. Before spearheading as a director, Sharma began as an assistant director in films like Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani (2013) and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016). His directorial debut Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl (2020) streamed directly onto Netflix.
