UK Modern Model Railway Layouts

A long video of when Britain's railways went to privatised in 1994 and 1997 as track and infrasture passed to railtrack in 1994, and later, passenger services were franchised in 25 blocks to private-sector operators. Freight services were sold outright. This video the theme of the late 1990s between the 2000s decade and 2010s decade. i no longer have a model railway, due to age and space constraints.......... however i have my locos and stock in boxes, along with RELCO and Hammant and Morgan controllers.......... never experienced digital control.......... well done to all who remember them, ..and great layouts.............Howard Six.........

Modellers spend the majority of their hobby time on infrastructure and scenery, from track design, to track laying, ballasting, grassing embankments, adding trees, building, roads, vehicles, lighting, people and cameo scenes. The trains are the bit that make the least difference to how good a layout is, really. Apart from some weathering being better than others, you'll see the same power units and rolling stock on other layouts. So, what I like to see in a layout video is a slow, steady, zoomed-out sweep along the whole layout to get an idea of it's size and plan, then a more close-up view of the different scenic areas, to appreciate what the modeller has done. Last, a bit of operations to show things like signalling and switching is good. The one thing you don't want is a video that just follows the trains, and keeps jerking around because another train has come into view, so that you never get to see the scenery.

A well controlled system is also a joy to behold. Sometimes the best video is a train mounted camera trip around the set.

Can you help?, I'm will be doing a WCML modern image layout where I will have 00 scale palisade fencing enclosing an embankment, running up two sides to the track above if that makes sense?, Peco make straight palisade fencing but where can I get the same type and size fencing to run up the embankments at say 45 degrees, all railways today have this fencing surrounding track, could you possibly help me with ideas or anyone that might be able to offer help, many thanks, Chris.
