Although I recommend watching the member announcement video and/or the member reaction to the member announcement video (!) right before doing so bc it will make it so much more meaningful, and also explain why so many of us would go to war for these girls! Also you should check out the fandom name video, bc not only does it provide more information than just the fandom name, it really shows the girls’ hilarious personalities! Haram is the only one whose name was changed between last evaluation and debut. Rora’s stage name was already being used during last evaluation, and explained by YG in her introduction (Lee being her last name, Dain her first), and same with Chiquita - which I think was potentially being used even before entering YG? Unsure about that one though, but Canny and Cherry were nicknames she already had from her fam. And with her last eval performance what hurt her was the betrayal of her voice after covid tbh. This is definitely like a RnB style song, and although all the girls pull it off so well - Rami definitely has an RnB soul which you can see on her Lee Mujin episode! Despite being given to them by Charlie, in this they also emphasize the “YG Family” aspect, which is a thing, and YG discusses it a bit in the member announcement vid (although omitted from the member reaction vid), but the “blackjack” references 2NE1, YG’s first girl group, as that is their fandom name. The move that the girls do at that point (the roulette wheel thing), is actually a tad bit different than what Rora did in Sheesh (although very very similar, the difference is in the formation of the group) but is actually also used in the dance for one of the Treasure songs (T5 subunit’s Move). Batter Up also includes the “took over the baton, quickly run run run run” line from Ruka, emphasizing the YG legacy and family. Treasure also has various lines in songs that reference their seniors! Idk if yall would be interested diving into their non music stuff, like BTS or self introduction stuff or you mainly focuses on music in this channel but from their Self-introduction video as well as their show, 'Last Evaluation', you'll get a better idea of their identity and strength as well as how they came to be. Like idk if you're gonna watch their self introduction video so I wouldn't spoil too much but Rora name was given by YG himself which is short for Aurora cause he want her to be confident and spread her light like an Aurora through her beautiful singing.
