Joshua is such class-act guy and he knows Anton's frustration when nothing seems to go right because he experience the same frustration thoughout his pool career when nothing seems to go right.

Sorry mate I dont think its the difference between ability.. Raga is one of the greatest player as of the moment in the Philippines.. as good as Biado. I just dont know what keeps anton holding back whenever he plays tournament overseas.. honestly even with 0-10 against filler.. I dont see much more of a difference between their skill when it comes to pool.

@@Dark-Yahoo filler is better no doubt, it was execution that separated them in this match tho. Filler perfected almost everything he did in the battle and when he messed up he got away with it due to luck, where as anton misplayed most of what he did or tried to do in this match, from miss hits to leaked safeties, from missed balls to bad luck. And he sorta gave up in the end. But to say that filler isnt overall better at pure potting and decision making along with execution you'd have to be biased.

@@Dark-Yahoo I understand what you're saying; they're both incredibly proficient for sure. On equal footing though? Not so sure. Having the ability to show that you have what it takes besides the ability to play pool well.. you know, winners mentality.. I don't see it on display here with Raga. I'm sure that Raga can do better than this though and perhaps had an off day.. but still... 10-0? Brazilian football players were once considered the best... because they came from Brazil! That kind of reasoning is just silly to begin with and has certainly proven to be worth little e.g. in the WC match in 2014; losing 7-1 to Germany. By the same token; the days when Reyes was in his prime .. everybody was dazzled - justifiably so - his shotmaking, the way he read the table and got out of safeties etc.. but nowadays.. the level has gone up tremendously (!).. and not just because of Reyes either ... so a statement like "one of the greatest player as of the moment in the Philippines"... doesn't have that zing anymore on the world stage of pool that you think it has. It only caters to those sensitive to the mythologizing of players and their background. Biado is a great player .. ranked 23 in the world as of this moment.

@@Thijs-Kuiken - ⁠there are other factors you missed out on this, for example: the direct human physiological effect when crossing different timezones, carbon shaft shot consistency versus wood. This is not primarily about winning mindset alone…there are other factors to consider. Filler on the other hand executed his shots perfectly well, he played extremely well, perhaps on a different level.

really? did u say Carbon/wood consistancy? what would you have to say about Ko pin? he uses maple and beat joshua 10-1 or something like that, earlier this year. what happen to his carbon then?

If its money game I couldn't see anyone wimning against Anton.. Its like 8-2.. I dont know what makes Anton hold back with the pool table When he is playing tournament.

I feel like ur making excuses on his behalf. Cz what’s the point in holding back? Nobody plays a tournament to loose. The thought of someone holding back in a competition is just stupid. Mind you players do have bad days. Now I have to say I’m a fan of the game and not the players. And Philippino players are absolutely the best and creative but Raga wasn’t firing on all cylinders.
