Great videos I think I've watched the all yours on this car. When driving in hybrid do you get the full 210bhp all the time? When battery is flat does the car feel sluggish? How does it perform when overtaking at motorway speed or up a crawler lane? Thanks in advance for your advice.

Looks like a good car for the job mate. Is this car ‘off the shelf’ or have you had to have it modified anyway to do the private hire work? And did you say HP finance over 5 years is better than PCP for the taxis?

Love the videos mate it helps me out when doing uber in boring Birmingham did you look at in app uber they doing opportunities which are so lame on Saturday you can from 9pm to 11:59pm 6 trips 10 pounds and if went to earn more 3 trips more for 15 after that from Sunday new years it's 20 pounds for 7 rides further more 2 trips I bet if keep giving longer rides so you don't make your target instead of giving this bs they should just give us time and a half no worries your videos always all ways make my day

Have an EV at the minute, it’s shit on the motorway, been looking at one of these superb hybrid, mpg is phenomenal for Uber etc, so many toys and the comfort aspects make it a car for me, not an estate though, I’ll upgrade the wheels to 19s off the sport line model. Great vid lad,

Top reviews Matty, I am a taxi driver looking to invest in one of these, i don't have an option for plug-in because I live in a terraced house, would this work exactly same as a Prius if I just drive it in hybrid and would itself charge every day as I drive without plugging it in...ta bud

(edit: i should have finished watching it before asking that lol,) How do you use the electric charge when using it as a taxi? Does it charge as you drive as well as plug-in? Wondering if you just use the charge then switch to fuel or if it's smarter than that and, like busses, uses the electric for the high fuel consumption work like moving from off from being stopped etc. I love adaptive cruse too, we regularly head to Newcastle to see GF fam, after trying adaptive in my sisters VW T-roc our next motor has to have it! Hi Matty one more think I love about car is emergency stoping...let say you reversing and someone walk behind car or car coming from behind the corner car slam brakes and stop itself...should try...same in front if you coming from side and something in your blind point(A-pillar is massive) and you accelerate car just stop ....save me twice already...

Matty would skoda still cover for 2 years services and warranty if its a private hire vehicle. Just bought a 19 plate ovtavia and got 2 year service and warranty plan so was womdering

@@driver-matty that's a mortgage that lad. I buy a 4k run around, use and abuse it and start the process again. It's a taxi, don't understand why you'd want a fancy car to pick bag heads up. Then i save for the next one. Never have any outgoings for my car then, just insurance and the odd repair. I would have to work at least 70 hours a week to pay for that car and earn any profit. Imagine how much extra 💷 you'd have if you didn't have to pay that 550 a month. A cars a car mate, especially in this job

Personally PHEVs are pointless as once you deplete the battery unlike fuel which lessens the vehicle weight as you drive you're still carrying around the battery and the engine hurting fuel economy plus in our industry at higher miles its more things to go,wrong. I'd stick with diesel until you can't keep them on the road duemto emissions etc then hybrid then BEV. Cheers mate

I love mine mate an if I do split shifts with two charges per day I do over 90 mpg mate. I can spread my charged battery over the shift in hybrid mode

@@driver-matty Glad you're loving it mate, when I did my math's and 6 month research including daily average range tests in 2017 the only way forward was bev. Once you factor in lack of and half price not to mention in most cases 10% downtime over vehicles that need oil, air, fuel filters then at higher mileages you have no gearbox, oil, fuel and water pump to replace along with timing belt or chain, the turbo exhaust etc) there was only one winner. My local company gave me more local airports to make up for the longer distance airports (this pleased me no,end of not having to sit on the M25 for hours 🙂) that I had trouble with doing (120 miles range at 75mph). Seriously mate once you've had a bev in our industry there's No going back I've lost count at over 100 benefits of owning one and I'm not joking 😀 but the main one is the medicinal values like one pedal driving but the list is too long haha maybe I'll restart my vlog and mention them all.
