I'm from NJ, USA. When I was 15 me and my sis went to Tottenham in London to visit our aunt and cousins for Christmas. Some of the best 10 days of my life. Spent the first night crying and homesick and didn't wanna leave after that. Loved the vibes so much.

@@jimsouth5203 to be honest the best times were *up to to 2004.* It went downhill after that. The invention of the smartphone in 2007 was what sealed the fate really. The start of an ultra capitalist and socially expected society from social media on what you 'should' look like and how much money you should have, etc.

Yeah I think it's pretty sad tbh. I don't want to be pessimistic but I think the high street will be full of kebab shops, newsagents in the future because the internet is killing off a lot of retail chains and independents
