Congrats! I've followed you since the beginning of your UCAS experience, and I myself applied to 5 courses in Scotland, and I'm also a non-UK EU student (from Sweden) so I feel like I've been able to relate to you and your journey a lot! However, I didn't start receiving my decisions until late February and I'm still waiting to hear back from my top choice, Uni of Edinburgh. So far it's gone well for me though, three offers so far but I've also received one rejection - so I feel your pain - but luckily, we have other amazing offers to fall back on just like you said in the video

Currently deciding whether to firm Kings or not for Neuroscience but I'm a bit worried about accommodation. I would be looking to stay stanford street apartments, great dover street or champion hill but I'm slightly worried about the social life at these halls. Do you have any experience with any of these halls and if so which one would you recommend applying to?

I’d say Kings is okay and I’m a 1st year. They’ve just been managing this situation really badly. Completely disregarding all their students, by forcing us students do exams for no reason when they’ve voided all our grades from this year. Apart for that I’d say they’re okay, and how much support you need :)

Hi, i stayed at champion hill in my first year :) i do recommend halls as it's a great way to meet new people instantly and it could help in finding your flatmates for the following years if you wish to move out into flats! :) champion hill is a new building but felt a bit 'cold' at times because of it (comes down to personal preference really), just be aware that it is far away from the campuses unless you're based at denmark hill :) it takes a good 45-60 min by bus or 20 min by train (but will cost more). The area was nice :) stamford street and great dover are the most popular choices i think because they are the ones closest to the centre but definitely apply if you think you'll enjoy it :) i personally think king's could have handled the virus situation a lot better too, but at the same time i don't think they have disregarded their students as alternatives are being put in place. I can only speak for my department of course as i know first years were given pass or fail to compensate for the end of the year, i myself have to sit my exams but the level of preparation (less words, prior-disclosure) has been reduced:)

Honestly, 2 years ago I didn’t get into my first choice and I was so bummed out about it, but now I literally go to such a great uni with the best people. I have really come to the conclusion that the uni doesn’t matter that much, because it’s the people and subjects that make uni great. idk if you’re actually looking for an explanation but basically in Ireland u need to do the Leaving Cert (think SATs but way harder (or A Levels), you also need to do at least 6 of them) at the end of secondary school which determine what college/courses you get into. Anna is applying to UK universities before she’s actually sat her Leaving Cert exams so she’s been accepted on the condition that she achieves certain grades in her exams (ex. 3 H2s and 2 H3s)
