I've never voted for Trump (or Harris,) because I vote independent, but the rioter convictions were so clearly politically motivated. The hypocrisy was so obvious when compared to the much more violent George Floyd riots that took place during the pandemic lockdowns - including the complete takeover of an area of Seattle that claimed "autonomy" from the government. January 6th was ONE DAY of a few hours of riots exaggerated into an "insurrection" by left-leaning media, while violent protests denouncing Trump as "illegitimate" resulting in over 200 arrests in DC on his first inauguration day in 2017 were downplayed, celebrated or completely ignored. Conversely, there were no violent protests by or arrests of Trump supporters on Biden's inauguration day.
