I lived in the States for grad school. Chinese (for American palate) food there is brilliant. I ate it at least twice a week. But one can find authentic Chinese food made for Chinese immigrants easily in major cities. I've found Chinese (adapted for local palates) food in the Philippines, Sri Lanka, India, Korea, etc. I think what I ate in the Philippines is most similar to the States. In India there's a Chinese dish called American chop suey that's unlike chop suey in America. The Indians even do a Chinese dish made with cheese curd (paneer), and I've never seen another country mix Chinese and cheese. Korean Chinese is very dissimilar to Chinese food elsewhere. The greatest surprise was Chinese food in Taiwan and China. Very unlike what I was accustomed - lived in both countries in pre-internet era, so plenty of unknown back then.

Milan is Milano in Italy. However, AC Milan isn't actually called AC Milano and it was actually founded by an English guy as a football and cricket club. Inter Milan is only called that in Engish. In Italy it's Internazionale Milano though it's generally referred to as Internazionale or just Inter.

Ethan was also right! There are different areas of Antarctica they travel to! I think the Chile departure port is more for the American and S. American scientists. South Africa is another port, and I think there is one more South Africa, they leave out of Cape Town and go straight down! I lived there for 2 years and had some mates who used to go down every 6-12 months!
