A big reason the chants here suck is that in youth and college/university games you’re not allowed to trash talk the other teams for the most part. There are some notable exceptions in college/university but pretty widespread, even in professional games, it’s highly looked down on to trash talk the other team and so we don’t have good chants. I’ve been at games where they’ve literally stopped the game because of trash talking

Nerd attack. The Daddy Long-legs thing isn't just a difference between the UK and USA. The phrase is used interchangably for the Crane Fly, the Cellar Spider and the Harvestman Mite. It happens everywhere the english language is spoken and any of those three creature can be found. It is a bit weird that I know that, but i'm an insect nerd. I'll get me coat . . .

3:38 No offence to any Americans but I disagree with her, I tried the salads over there and they were horrible, two bites in to realise that it had oils, cheeses, very hard bread pieces (that actually chipped my tooth on), olives and a lot of high fats in them. Literally threw it away after no one else wanted it, and it even made me sick for two days. 🤢 The next time I got a salad I made sure to get it at subway so I knew what was in it and wasn't sick again. I prefer the salads in the UK because they actually tell you what's in it, it doesn't have a ton of high fat stuff put in it. Also the places that have salad bars where you can pick what's in it are better.
@tiegancrookxox9 ай бұрын
Yeah literally. If she is referring to like a Tesco ready made salad, of course it's not going to compare to a restaurant standard one. We have really nice salads that are actually good for you unlike theirs filled with stuff you can't even pronounce 🤣
@booknerd98509 ай бұрын
@@tiegancrookxox I agree, she probably bought a simple premade salad and couldn't handle it being healthier than she's used to. Trying to understand what is in their salads is like being in a country that speaks another language that you don't understand, I remember them trying to use a fancy or quirky name for avocado 😂

Actually got to taste the American Fanta, it's similar to the UK version but theirs is more sugary sweet, like if you could drink the orange flavour lollipops. But it could be because we have sugar tax in the UK, so it's got less sugar in it than US 🤔🤷🏻♀️

I don't think that America can comment when they call a bowl of cheese, cream and mayonaise a "salad", and any salad that could be considered healthy is then ruined by them dumping calorific dressings on every particle of veg/fruit/leaves giving them a higher calorie count than a Big Mac. I do think the UK is generally pretty uninventive when it comes to salad though, and what is available is usually a bit sad, so I'll give her that 😕
@Cowboy_Frog9 ай бұрын
America does to salads what they do to water. They make it as calorie filled and unhealthy as possible.
