You can dehydrate them also. They are beautiful in dishes, cooked in as a dust. Great back notes. Always take when found.

@@jayaway1361 well yes those as well. But any mushrooms in general. I was blessed enough to find 30lbs or so of Myutaki, Chanterelles, and Black Trumpet Chanterelles. I dehydrated all after cleaning.

Thanks Jonathan, I'm becoming more and more aware of all the treasures around us when we are out. There is always something you can search for :) I've not seen that book, I have the Roger Phillips 'Mushrooms' book. Highly recommend but can be a bit overwhelming when you see how many species are among us!! I also have the Edible Mushrooms book by Geoff Dann, another top book. Enjoy your foraging! :)

Never used to like blewits; too fragrant to eat. Until i realised that "over-frying" them till they're slightly browned with a bit of crunch they are much more to my taste. Just as well, because November '23, locally, serious blewit bingo! 🙏🏽 🌳🕊💚

Nice vid mate! Looks like the picking is good at the moment. I've not been out for a forage in a while. Now this pesky cold is getting better I think ill get myself out for a hunt!!
