Such great advice. The bit that sticks out the most to me is the part about the entire industry rushing a lot and how it’s important to take time and really think. It can be difficult to pull yourself out of that rushing around mindset. Thank you very much!

I'm in a wheelchair and have some mental health issues from PTSD. I've always been interested in psychology as career and study. Would any of my life experience hold me back or could it be seen as a benefit?. I have a high IQ but I do wonder if my health issues could cause more than just some stumbling blocks for me. I'm going to do it regardless, but I'd like to prepare. Ty

Hi, sorry this is a bit off topic! But I am wanting to enter into a trainee psychological well-being practitioner programme and am wondering if experience as a support worker (for the YMCA centre) is sufficient, or if I need to be a support worker in a mental health setting. Thanks!😊

Support/healthcare worker /nursing assistant roles are usually in high demand, and so are a great role to apply for during or after your undergraduate degree. Your degree will bring great experience to the role and the role will give you good clinical experience for future job roles. Could I still become a forensic psychologist with a criminology bachelors and a forensic psychology Masters? Also with counselling and prison work experience in addition to the degrees?

You have to have a bps accredited undergraduate degree in psychology.
