I love crystals especially for the reason that it is used for spiritual healing. Recently I had an itching thought that maybe we are over mining the crystals and not thinking so much about what it'll do to mother earth because I see people posting online showing ridiculous amount of huge crystals being harvested and sold in outdoor markets. I really hope that is not the case. It only grows about two centimeter over a period of ten million years depending what type. With an increasing amount earthquakes going on recently over the years it affects the growth rate of crystals as well. We have to be mindful of how much we harvest. We should only take only what is needed. Sorry for being a party pooper but I think it makes sense to be moderate and not get overboard with harvesting mother earth's minerals. Let's show some love and respect to mother earth. Love and light to all taking the time to read this with an open mind. Namaste 💜

When living in the Australian state of Victoria , there was a small creek, a tributary of a bigger river and it had masses of pendant shaped crystals sticking out of the banks. Also it's bed when it was dry. People would just take a few to decorate their homes just as though they were shells on the seashore, still masses left there for many years to come. Once the 80's and the age of greed, growing population and burgeoning businesses arrived......No more seashells on the seashore and no more crystals in the creek bed and banks. Now Crystal New Age shops are filled with them, collected from all around the world, and selling them at exhorbitant prices. Not so caring of our mother Earth as they claim to be on their posters, cards and books.

I would of loved to do Opal mining, just sheer hard work and good ingenuity oh! and patience, but I have enjoyed these guys and what they do,I do remember 12 years ago a retired policeman started Opal mining and i think it was just a year and he found a 14kg brick of brilliant blue and other colours all through it,he was rich, the prices are high and he was on the front page of the Territory news, that's just a brilliant hit for an amateur.

Mate that's not uncommon - kangaroos are masters of disguise until the last minute, then decide to jump out in front of your car. I've driven roads which are lined with dead roos for kilometers. It happens a lot after rainfall, especially at dawn and dusk.
