What many people forget about the shells und ammunition aid for Ukraine: You can give them as many shells as you want, after a certain time there gun-barrels are worn out! You have to replace them! The german "Panzerhaubitze 2000" for exemple shouldt replace the barrel after 1000 shells, after 2000 shells you risk to destroy it complete. (For that you have to list every single shell that you fired out a gun-barrel in the german Bundeswehr!) The Ukrainens need hundreds or maybe thousends of new gun barrels for there million shells!

I told everyone that the supposed losses at Avdiivka was bogus. Russian losses were very low. The Ukrainians had incredibly high losses due to artillery, drones, and LOTS of FABs.

As a guy who's into engineering, I should clarify that we're not in the 1940s. Back then we had to use vacuum tubes, all electronics relied on these glowing devices (usually hot, or VERY hot devices) . Today we use chips (Integrated circuits, or individual transistors). Instead of ladies assembling vacuum tubes (men were fighting, or doing heavier work), we use robots or other machines. We could build them by the thousands in a short time... Chips, transistors, capacitors, inductors and sensors could be built very quickly with little effort. Things ARE different today... I don't look forward to building war devices, but we can build so much more at much larger scales... If I somehow landed at an empty island, I could power an emergency radio using salt, lemons, oranges; almost anything... assuming my phone is dead... being involved in engineering does have some advantages... Russians obviously know these things...
