Ukraine conducts 'deepest strike inside Russian territory' with attack on Iranian drone factory

Ukraine says it flew what is thought to be a light aircraft packed with explosives into an Iranian drone factory in the “deepest strike inside Russian territory" since the start of the war.
The “drone aircraft” strike on Russia's central Tatarstan region - hundreds of miles from the countries' shared border - hit a building believed to contain dormitories near a factory assembling Iranian Shahed explosive drones in the town of Yelabuga.
It wounded 13 people, including two students and two minors, according to local health officials.

@@timg1246 one thing to note, whatever justification Russia has given for invading Ukraine, similar justifications can be provided for the US invasion of Iraq. 1. Biolabs in Ukraine - WMDs in Iraq 2. Persecution of ethnic Russians - persecution of ethnic Kurds. 3. Far right thugs in politics murdering innocent people - entire government being fascist and burning down entire villages to suppress 1991 uprising. NATO expansion was stopped by the invasion of Crimea in 2014. So that is a moot point. If people justify the Russian invasion, then it is totally hypocritical to not justify the US invasion of Iraq as Iraq was a far worse regime than Ukraine ever was.

Russia's territory is too large, the Russian army does not have enough air defense systems to protect military facilities, information centers, airports, ports, ammunition depots, petroleum depots, and oil refineries. .. The destruction of the above positions will in the long run reduce the pressure of the Russian army's attack on Ukraine on the battlefield.
