Ukraine controls most of the worlds wheat, is standing between Russia and most of our European Allies, gives Russia more control. If your a real American you should know that if the Russian government loses we win, whether that be politically, geographically, economically, or militarily

@@paulh2180 it's not "real inside info", you can easily find this information yourself, there are in fact places which are covering the events of the war honestly and in an unbiased manner, though they are obviously hard to come by. There are channels here on YT doing so, using only independently verifiable sources of information. It has *not* been going good for the Ukrainians, especially in the last month or two, they recently suffered a complete collapse of their entire defensive position at Chasiv Yar. Why do you think the media has all but given up on reporting the news from Ukraine recently? The few stories that have come out at all have been about Zelenskyy angling for better terms/a better position to try and negotiate from when he has to eventually sit down with the Russians to reach a ceasefire agreement, a day that looks to be coming quite soon, barring any unforeseen radical developments.

It's simple, if the ukranians push where the russian army is currently strong, they lose a lot of soldiers for little gain. If ukraine pushes on the lightly defended border, they take russian soil with fewer casualties because of the lower resistance.

It's almost like they figured on response by Russian forces diverted from elsewhere and pre-targeted the access routes with a sh*t-ton of ordnance. Who woulda thunk? This is a brigade-level attack, not a mere raid. Ukrainian OPSEC has been very tight on this operation. The Russians were caught absolutely flat-flatfooted. Syrsky's showing us that maybe he wasn't a bad choice.

1) it'll force Russia to divert forces there. Taking the pressure away from other hot spots. "Divide (your enemy) and conquer." 2) it's a moral / political win. Their state media can't hide that. 3) the seized land can be used as a bargaining chip to get their original borders back.
