The problem with drones targeting helicopters is that smaller aerial vehicles, like drones, suffer from the trade off of speed against flight time, far more than larger vehicles like helicopters (due to the quadratic scaling of drag, versus the cubic scaling of fuel capacity). In order for a small drone to get up to the speed of a typical helicopter (200-300kmph), it will have to expend a great deal of its much smaller battery/fuel capacity, meaning that there is only a short timeframe in which it can engage a helicopter. What this means, in reality, is that such tactics would only work on the off-chance that a helicopter happens to fly directly nearby a drone which has only just taken off. And, of course, the chances of this happening are very small.

Not quite, some drones has the capacity of fly up to 1,850 km as the ones that blew the fuel depot and refineries near St-Peterberg. The attack will be done from the side of helicopters tail. I have no doubt that the engineers in Ukraine can't achieve this goal as there are hundred of aeronautical engineers who used to work for Antonov in Kiev working on both the airfoil while others are specialized in engines design and technologies.

@@WillReims-s2s I was mainly referring to the small FPV drones that have actually been used for these attacks. I don't think a remotely piloted Cessna is going to be able to sneak up on a Russian attack helicopter in quite the same way that a FPV drone can... It's not a question of engineering, so much as Physics. In order for the drone to approach the helicopter undetected, it has to be small, which in turn means that it will have a small fuel/battery capacity and thus a limited flight time. Flying faster will deplete this flight time; at the speeds that attack helicopters travel, the flight time will be so prohibitively short, that they wouldn't be capable of "hunting" enemy helicopters, but could only be used reactively - in which case, you may as well just use a MANPAD.

Republicans B.S who have delayed the ammo and equip to reach Ukraine by eight months in early 2024. Russians have left Crimea when Ukraine were blowing all its airport and gas depots among other military targets. According to Der Spiegel, there are more Russians leaving every week with trucks full with their furniture and personal belongings. While the Russian Pravda has acknowledge that over 600,000 have left between March and the end of June, the number could have reached one million by now.
