At the current rate of exchange Putin is exchanging space for time at a rate commensurate rate to the purchasing power of the Rubble to USD, and much worse than the K:D ratio accomplished grinding into Ukraine, but space is being exchanged for time nonetheless. It remains to be seen if this extremely bad exchange rate of km/days will hold up. I wonder how fast the Russians will be able to mobilize and fortify Kursk.

Ukraine puts its own governor in kursk. And people voted 98% in referendum to be part of ukraine.....

Surprising indeed. But Russia should know if it can invade ukraine, then expect to be invaded by ukraine also.

Add to that AI vision and automated ground object identification, prioritisation and targeting, you have a powerful drone tool at our disposal. Automated drone swarming and loitering capability would add even more fire power and sophistication to the drone.

Probably overstretching its frontline, Ukraine
@vlad90492 ай бұрын
It is not a question If Ukraine can afford a new frontline, it’s a question if Ukraine in position of not to. East and Southern fronts have numerous lines of defence, it is hellish landscape to fight for both parties. On the contrary, Kursk border had 2 lines of defence that were breached rather rapidly

Ukrainian troops crossing Russian territory are generally on a one way ticket, and it will have a major impact on Ukrainian war effort over the next 6 months.
@HenryX-s2g2 ай бұрын
Quite true. All the Russians have to do is to dig in. Yes, merely dig in, hold and pump firepower into the kill zones Ukrainian troops have created for themselves, and the main forces will push into Ukraine as Ukraine is diverting manpower into kill zones exhausting itself further. You don't need huge forces or big amount of equipment for such defence. Not only that... ... now Russian air force will be operating in its air space... ... and if F16s are deployed, that'd be disastrous for Ukraine. Hard truth. Also, this shows Ukraine's 'need' to end war asap... ... hence weakness. Which means Putin will be more determined, if Putin realizes.

China already has dibs on Russia, or should I say Ruxia, China's future northernmost province. One Pu Tin is slated to become its regional governor when the acquisition is complete.

"Shows Russia's weakness" is an admission that this entire incursion is a public relations offensive, no different than the Battle of the Bulge, and will end exactly the same way.
@peabase2 ай бұрын
Mind you, the Battle of the Bulge has a genuine effort on the Germans' part to recapture the port of Antwerp and to encircle the Allied armies to the north. It was a very optimistic plan, but a genuine effort nonetheless.
@foilhat11382 ай бұрын
The battle of the bulge was a hard battle resulting in massive German casualties. The Ukrainian's have just waltzed in almost unopposed, the Chechens fled at the sight of Ukrainians and the conscripts surrendered at first contact.
@peabase2 ай бұрын
@@foilhat1138 Incidentally, the Allies suffered worse casualties in the Battle of the Bulge than the Germans. It's just that the Allies could tolerate their losses and the Germans could not.
