"Rose's have Thorns". A brutal unfiltered and uncensored 9 part part series that must be watched to truly understand the conflict, who is and was involved, and what lead to the war today. Search for it on KZbin. Each episode is an hour long but something you can't take your eyes off of, especially if you watch the first couple episodes and have your eyes opened.

West Ukraine is safe while you dont be gypsy, "PrOrUssiAN" or anything that goes agaisnt the nazi groups. Lot of international journalist report from their hotel in Kiev and then make "free tours" for propaganda purposes around Kiev. Thats quite safe. It would have been "funny" to see all these free and independent journalist report from the iraqi side in 2003. Would they have felt safe then? Ask Jose Couso. Btw, ask Gonzalo Lira ;)

I can explain the joke if you'd like, you see Pop Front put the "Filmed Five Days Before" quote during every interview that it was almost too many times, the punchline is that Sock didn't notice it. Hope this clears it up and makes the joke funnier, let me know if you need any more explanations of jokes just incase you never meet a human being irl.

Didn't ukrainians originally elect the "pro-russian" government in 2014 at 3:09, glossing over that and the factors at play in the Maiden revolt give a colour to the events that I don't think is entirely fair/accurate. Would be interested to know what others have read/understood about the details of that period.
@Momo141982 жыл бұрын
Yes. "Ukranians" didnt overthrow shit. a relatively large western minority made a western backed coup.
@innes28192 жыл бұрын
@@Momo14198 that's my understanding, although the pro-eu crowd won the subsequent elections.
@cloudy_gomo2 жыл бұрын
From what I understand, the government was elected with a platform and an expectation from voters to bring Ukraine into a new era of international trade. There were two deals on the table, one with the European Union and one with the Eurasian Economic Union. The Euromaidan protests erupted because, despite the overwhelming majority of parliament supporting the EU deal (which I believe was also more popular with citizens, considering the success of the protests) the Yanukovych government, under heavy pressure from Russia, pivoted to the Russian deal. This would have been unequivocally worse economically for Ukraine, but was a concession to stave off the Russian aggression that has come to pass. Yanukovych instituted anti protest laws as the protests swelled and this culminated in a clash that killed 100 civilians, which only further inflamed the protests and led to a full scale ousting of the government. Elections were held while a temporary government was in place and Yanukovych fled the country, likely for fear of being charged in the deaths of the protestors.
@Momo141982 жыл бұрын
@@cloudy_gomo The Euromaidan revolt was also massively inflated and supported by the US st the time.
